Huge Weekend Double Header for NCRA Sprints!

Park City, Kansas – June 23, 2015 - A huge weekend of sprint car action takes place this weekend as the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products sprint car division closes out the month of June with a weekend double header with the American Bank of Oklahoma American Sprint Car Series Red River region.

It all kicks off this Saturday night at Dodge City Raceway Park in Dodge City, Kansas for the annual “Steve King Memorial.” Current touring point leader C.J. Johnson won this event last year over a twenty-five car field.

General admission tickets to Saturday’s action are just $20 for adults, with children 11 and under admitted free when accompanied by an adult.  Pit admission is $30. Gates open at 5:00 PM with race action starting at 7:30 PM.

Dodge City Raceway Park is located on the south edge of Dodge City, KS, on US 283, then 0.9 miles west on US 56, then 0.1 miles south.  For more information, contact the track at 620-225-3277 or check www.dodgecityraceway.com.

Then on Sunday night both tours will load up and head to 81 Speedway in Park City to wrap up the double-header weekend. Last year saw Aaron Reutzel won last year’s meeting between the two series against a 29 car field.

Pit gates this Sunday night open at 5:00 PM with race action slated for a 7:00 PM start time. Also competing will be the “winged warriors” of the NCRA sprint car division.

81 Speedway is located north of Wichita on I-135 to exit 16, then 0.7 miles west on 77th street. For more race information on the NCRA mod lite show at 81 Speedway, call the track (316) 755-1781.

After four events, defending co-series champion C.J. Johnson leads the NCRA sprint car tour into the double header weekend with a 45 point lead over Jeremy Campbell. Johnson picked up his first victory of the season this past Saturday night at 81 Speedway.

Other touring regulars expecting to compete include Jon Freeman, J.D. Johnson, Jeff Stasa, Raymond Seeman, rookie of the year contender Josh Fairbank, Jake Greider and Luke Cranston.

A fixture in Kansas open wheel racing for decades, the familiar Danny King owned #e85 entry will be driven by Nebsaska’s Billy Alley, who hopes to pick up what would be a memorable victory, if he can accomplish this feat, during the “Steve King Memorial” at Dodge City Raceway Park on Saturday night.

Kevin Ramey will lead the ASCS Red River Region competitors against the NCRA this weekend. Touring regulars and their top point earners include Shawn Peterson, Joe Wood, Jr., Andy Shouse, Kade Morton, Brandon Hanks and Mickey Walker.
