LoneStar Speedway Making Up in a BIG Way after June 13th Rainout
Kilgore, TX (6/14/15) by DarinShort.com. When the rains hit yesterday afternoon at LoneStar Speedway, it might have 'dampened' everyone's spirits, but we're not going to 'drown' in tears worrying about it.
Yes, this was the 2nd time the $2,000 to win Texas Outlaw Modified Series had been scheduled at LSS and rained out.
Yes, this was the 2nd time the 'For the Love of Alex, Stop Texting and Driving' $1,300/win Limited Modified event got postponed by rain.
So, once again we've hit the ground running and have already booked the following event for SATURDAY, AUGUST 15:
NASCAR veteran driver KEN SCHRADER will take on the BEST MODIFIED DRIVERS IN TEXAS, when the Texas Outlaw Modified Series will make their first-ever LoneStar Speedway visit, paying $2,000 to win and $200 to start (24th).
Have a familiar ring? Yes, this is the original 'match up' we had set for April 18th, when it ended up falling to severe thunderstorms.

We have a replacement date picked out for the 'For the Love of Alex, Stop Texting and Driving' $1,300/win Limited Modified event, and will post it when confirmed by Alex's parents, Trisha and Robert Taylor.
The special Factory Stock sponsorship from TNT Pick-a-Part in Greenwood LA (set for last night) will now be held on Saturday June 27th; which will make it $500/win Factory Stocks. The FS Hard Luck driver will take home $200 in credit towards in-stock replacement parts for their car...including items such as doors, fenders, hoods (all body panels) and stock replacement components.
We just wanted to let everyone know we're not going to let the weather decide if we all have a good time or not. It may not have been last night, but it will happen...Saturday, August 15th at LoneStar Speedway.
