Now that 18 inch wide tires are largely obsolete, is anyone stuck with a suppy of them? These are not for a running car, so the compound does not matter. Slightly used tires would be great for my meager budget, but perhaps new ones. Leads appreciated!

Still looking. I have picked up a few from a racer's junk pile for free, but they are badly cracked. Time and sunlight kills them. So I would rather pay $20 or $30 for tires that are reasonably fresh.

I'm still looking for 105/18 tires with at least 50% tread and no holes, any compound and grooving. I use these on the pedal cars I build, believe it or not. We use these pedal cars in goofy "races" that are all just for laughs, of course. These pedal cars also serve as pedal boats, so I use the largest tires for maximum buoyancy. They also draw oooos and ahhhhs in parades.
I'm thinking $20 for 50% tread to $40 for brand new. (Hoosier is clearing out new ones for $85, but that's a bit steep for my budget.)
Sacramento or Santa Rosa areas, preferably.
