With eight races complete this season Shane Stewart sits atop the World of Outlaws standings going into this Saturday & Sunday at the Stockton Dirt Track. The Bixby, Oklahoma wheel-man maintains a 21-point advantage over six-time titlist Donny Schatz coming into the FVP Western Spring Shootout.
Stewart is in his first full year campaigning the Larson/Marks Racing No. 2 Sprinter with the Greatest Show on Dirt and earned an Outlaw win on opening night in Las Vegas a few weeks back. The car is co-owned by current NASCAR Sprint Cup star & former Stockton Dirt Track winner Kyle Larson. The Elk Grove, CA native captured the inaugural World of Outlaws event in Stockton.
Stewart himself has also spent lots of time competing in California for past car owner Paul Silva, who he claimed a pair of ASCS National titles with. In addition to being a five-time Knoxville 360 Nationals champ, Stewart was also the 2010 winner of the Dave Bradway Jr. Memorial held in Chico.
Delta Speedway, a Micro track also located on the Fairgrounds, will be running a special Micro race on Friday March 20, making it a three-night happening on the property. Stewart is entered into the special showcase, along with fellow World of Outlaws star David Gravel & past USAC champion Bryan Clauson among others.

The Stockton Dirt Track is a lightning fast 3/8 mile clay oval and is located on the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds in Stockton, California.
