Note: Pending sale of Kopellah Speedway, additional dates may be added.

Traditional Sprint Car Series (non-winged cars) have 16 dates with several more ready to add pending final outcome regarding the sale of the Kopellah Speedway. A Letter of Intent was signed a few days ago, so things are moving in a positive direction regarding the sale. I will post an update for the Traditional Sprint Car Series (TSCS) races a bit later on. The non-winged cars are slated to run 14 times with the winged cars right now including the Billy Anderson Memorial at Princeton and in a stand-alone event with the WoO at CLS. The TSCS appears to be gaining momentum more and more, as the initial support has far exceeded early expectations!

Oh heck, here's a real quick TSCS schedule in short form.

With the winged sprints: April 30, May 7, May 28, June 3,11, July 15,16,23,29,30, Aug 26, Sept 3,4,10. Stand alone dates: May 21 at CLS with IRA sprints, July 8 at CLS with WoO sprints.

I will post a tentative schedule after more info on sale of Kopellah Speedway becomes available. A Letter of Intent with some earnest money is a good positive sign in the right direction, but it is not official until the sales papers are signed, filed, etc. etc. Keep checking for further updates. Smile

Nice schedule with various race tracks but I wonder how many teams can afford to chase all 25 shows to win the point title?

Probably not a large number of teams Greg, but we do have plenty of opportunites for area sprint car teams (winged or non-winged) to get out and race. Compared with a few years ago, that is a night and day difference. Several teams may very well run a limited schedule, but the 2011 season gives them plenty of opportunities to enjoy racing sprint cars. Mother Nature will probably win a few features like she does each season (hopefully not too many) and drivers will be allowed to throw out their two lowest point scores (which could be zeroes) in the hunt for the point championship and GRP bonus money. Regardless of how many shows a team is able to race, the important consideration is to get out as your budget allows and have some fun! :-)

True about giving them plenty of opportunities to enjoy racing sprint cars. I plan to race some UMSS shows to have some fun when my budget allows. I just pray that the gas price doesn't go up as much as it could be. See you at the UMSS races.
