Too early to speculate? I'd love to see him put someone in it. Maybe a "Cali/Big Shows" schedule? I'm guessing Macedo would be #1 available right now. T. Kaeding would be cool too. Larson won't be back on dirt for a decade, and if he is it'll be Chili Bowl only.

If Silva would decide to park the 57 for the season I would love to see him turning the wrenches again for Rico. Rico definitely had one of his better seasons in 2020, especially compared to recent seasons. I think pairing him back up with Silva for big events would make them a constant threat.

Kyle has already stated that he will be back in the 57 next season. So doubtful Paul will put anyone else in the car, or go work with someone else

Yeah so I actually just listened to Larson's interview on Dale Jrs podcast and it sounds like Hendrick is gonna let him run dirt when he's off. He also said that if anyone is driving the 57, it's gonna be him. Hell yeah. We should see him for 20-30 races a year including Chili Bowl. Dead wrong on that but I'm glad I am.

First of all, way to focus on the positive!
But...you're not wrong, the Cup program will take priority, as it is his "day job". In the meantime, let's focus on how cool it is that Larson still gets to run sprint cars with the support of Mr. Hendrick. It's also a smart move by Hendrick to let him run sprint cars next year. As they rebuild Larson's image and sponsor equity, having his huge following from the sprint car world on board and actively engaged will expedite that process. Plus, everyone seems to realize that the more Larson races, the better he is, and I'm sure Mr. Hendrick realizes that as well. NASCAR is suddenly more intersting in 2021 and sprint car racing will be great again next year, as well.

Heads up on Larson and Hendrick. I got a notice this am that both are on the latest Dale Jr. podcast which is also on YouTube. According to the article they did ask Hendrick about Kyles dirt racing. It is around two hours so I will watch it this evening.

I dont know Silva never talked to him but from what I gather he doesnt really want to race a whole lot. I think he just raced so many times this yea for larson because larson wasnt doing anything else. Seriously doubt he wants to find someone put in it and hit a bunch of races. I'd say hes happy running about as many times as larson is going to be available while racing nascar

Yeah you're dead nuts with that. Kyle said pretty much that exact same thing in his interview.

Plus, if Larson is making a shipload of money racing taxis, he can afford to pay Silva pretty well to be his crew chiefs no matter how many times he races on dirt.

we could see a fair amount of larson if nascar sticks with these 1 day shows...which i think they will. they played around with it in 2017 with the pocono and watkins glen races. qualifying was in the am before the race.

Spot on. I know a lot of Hosers and social media followers claim they won't watch Nascar even if Kyle goes back. I say bullcrap to 90% of them. Nascar will see an uptick in viewership and interest----especially if Kyle comes out competitive right away. Dirt racing has a huge following in 2020 and there are a lot of folks who never got to see Kyle race, and watched him kick ass this year, and they will be tuning in on Sundays again. Not that many of you care, but in conjunction with nascar wanting to "return to its roots" by adding some historical races and going back to dirt, Kyle could be in a position to bring Nascar back a bit. Stay tuned

Thanks, and you're exactly right as well. Fans and sponsors are no longer lining up for NASCAR, so they will need to implement some type of "outreach" program, and Kyle and a few others with big followings outside of NASCAR could lead the way, for sure. I'm really excited to see where this all goes.

I used to watch pretty much every lap turned in NASCAR weekends, including practice and qualifying. Once he got bounced, I tried to get behind others to pull but didn't feel a strong connection to anyone and rarely have watched the rest of the season except to have it on as background noise.
I'll absolutely be tuning back in with him behind the wheel.

you, Egras, are spot on. told kyle back in '12 when we knew he was going to do a few truck races, would always watch & support him regardless. dont care what anyone on here or anywhere says, he makes watching cup races, as long as he's in it, worth the time, and with this team i'm expecting him to kick some ass. we've been being amazed with this kid since he was 14 & he's only getting better. mr. H says he can do what he wants, as far as dirt, he's just responsible for himself

I have not listened to Sirius NASCAR radio since march, but I did tune in yesterday after the official announcement to see how long it took to hear Kyles name mentioned. 18 seconds. Lol. Godfather Dave Moody did say that NASCAR has 28 stand alone Sunday races on the schedule for next year. I find this hard to believe, but it's hard to not believe what he stated. This bodes well or seeing the 57 pretty regularly, should Paul and Kyle chose to go racing. See him focusing on his day job more so than ever before, so time will tell.

Sprintfanatic.
You do realize silva is the car owner on the 57 ? Kyle is the paid driver, he doesn't pay silva, silva pays him.
