I'd much rather see him do that than be strapped to a slow plodding pack mule.

Imagine how popular F1 would be in America if Larson joined Haas.  Would be badass.  However, I think this is phase 1 of the Haas F1 team shutting down.  Hope I'm wrong, but seems odd both drivers are gone in the same press release.

I read a article in road n track years ago. Bernie ecklestone made comment that it takes 100 million American dollars per team to compete in formula one. Remember that was years ago.

Think we need some midgets in there with the sprint cars.

We need more sprint car racing at our home track.

I'd rather see him in a bomber or modified than watch him run F1.  Like watching time trials for 3 hours.   Many of you complain about the lack of passing in WoO heats..................................but then want to watch F1?  I'm puzzled.  I've tried, trust me.  It's like watching 200 mph paint dry with stuffy sounding announcers to lull me to sleep.

I'd like to see him race various $5000 cars like street stocks or super stocks, just to see how he'd do at a grass roots level.

Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

Also Larson would have to set the world on fire for the next two years in some crazy Euro openwheel racing leagues or win the Indycar championship this year to even have a chance of holding a FIA superlicense to be able to race in FormulaUhn. Can he still obtain a super license at his age? Probably, but being he has two kids I find this extremly unlikely... for all of you wishing him to F1, 2022 is the soonest that could possibly come. Unless marshal chips in 100 million, this duck is dead in the water.

Sorry guys... not happening.

I remember hearing Rick Hendrick mentioning that Lewis Hamilton made more money as a driver than his whole budget for 5 cars.

Haas budget is like $150 million and they are woefully underfunded. That says it all. I think i saw Mercedes and Ferrari budgets are $400-600 million.

I believe I read somewhere that Ferrari had a budget at one time of a cool 1 Billion.  This was probably 10 years ago.  Not sure what it is now.

Also, as a Haas CNC instructor, I am thankful Gene is putting his money back into education and not blowing it all on an F1 car.
