Next Up at Monarch Motor Speedway: $2,500 Possible to Win Sprint Car Bandits FALLS TOWN SPRINT SHOWDOWN SAT. OCT. 10th!

Wichita Falls, TX (9/23/20) by DarinShort.com. Fans and race teams that have visited the new Monarch Motor Speedway (west side of Wichita Falls) know that it features incredible dirt track racing with state-of-the-art facilities. And for the second time this season, a blockbuster event is taking place at the ¼ mile ultra-fast speed plant featuring many of the best dirt track racers in the region with the running of the Sprint Car Bandits® (SCB) “FALLS TOWN SPRINT SHOWDOWN” 360C.I. Shootout, paying $2,000 to win and $300/start on Saturday, October 10th at 7pm.

Joining the 360C.I. winged sprint cars will be the popular USRA Tuners, the NOW600 TOWR Micro Series and the Mod 600’s. Note that the Sprint Cars will be racing 1st or 2nd division out for the feature events.

:30 Second Rewind from the May 9th SCB Monarch event: 12th place starter John Carney II coming from 12th to take the lead the middle half of the race, while Channin Tankersley snuck by on a quickly transitioning surface on lap 21 to grab his 2nd career Sprint Car Bandits series feature event and $2,100 - topping a field of 39 other competitors. Kyle McCutcheon would become the West Texas Raceway sponsored Hard Charger recipient, coming from 15th to 2nd and collecting $1,300. Colorado's Jake Bubak Racing would finish 3rd with John Carney in 4th and Michael Day finishing 5th after starting 9th.

I think it’s also worth a :30 Second Rewind of the 2019 SCB Monarch event as well: An unforgettable night of wild in-your-face action would take place after overnight storms made for a total slurp-fest on the racing surface with elbows-up high speed drama taking place in every division all night long. The SCB feature event saw Will Eggimann (2019 SCB series champion) wrestle the lead away from John Carney II and Tim Crawley. Eggimann would lead til the 2-to-go flags were waved when a lapped car got crossed up and started flipping in front of the lead pack, resulting in Eggimann’s top wing being torn off the car. During the red, with just two laps to go, Eggimann and team decided it was not a safe idea to restart the event sans top wing leading the field…so he went pit-side and John Carney II would take home the $2,000 winners prize, with Harli White driving the wheels off her #17w sprinter coming from 21st to 2nd after a first-lap skirmish.

BACK TO 10/10/20: Tommy Bryant of Cabinets By Tommy LLC in Granbury Texas has stepped up to provide the 360C.I. Sprint Car Bandits® drivers three exciting bonuses for this event with the Cabinets by Tommy LLC $500 Dash For Cash, $200 Hard Charger Award and $100 to the 9th place driver on the 9th lap of the A-feature!

Here’s how the Cabinets by Tommy LLC $500 Dash For Cash will work at Monarch Motor Speedway on Saturday, October 10th:
- All SCB teams will draw in and qualify in their heat races as normal, with normal series passing points.
- At the conclusion of the heat races, the top 2 finishers from each heat race will advance to the Cabinets by Tommy LLC $500 Dash For Cash.
- The Dash will be lined up by draw, and the winner will take home an additional $500 from Cabinets by Tommy LLC!

More about the sponsor, Cabinets by Tommy LLC. Tommy Bryant is the company head, which is based out of Granbury Texas (southwest of Ft. Worth). Many of you know his daughter through sprint car racing, which is Britney Bryant that drove the beautiful number 99b car at select Sprint Car Bandits events in the past – and is now piloted by John Ricketts with a 360C.I. engine under the hood.

Cabinets by Tommy LLC is an extremely popular service-providing company for many homeowners throughout the Metroplex area, and they can be reached at [email protected] or by phoning 817-991-0659. The Sprint Car Bandits series would like to thank them for their support.

Note to sprint car teams: additional format/rules info on the dash will be provided in the drivers meeting on race night, so please make sure you are present.

Note that with social distancing measures in effect we will block every other row, as we’ve done since May) – but with our huge stands, terrace seating and grassy area seating, we should be able to accommodate everyone and still have plenty of social distancing. SPECIAL THANKS to Monarch Motor Speedway for adding two additional full paying starting positions to this event! All non-qualifiers or non-starters will each receive $100. Mufflers are not required.

The USRA Tuners will be racing for the posted track purse, points and rules – which are on the Monarch website, www.MMSdirt.com. RaceCeivers and Transponders (yellow Westhold) are required. USRA Tuner car rules are in effect and USRA points will be awarded. Drivers not holding a USRA license can purchase a temp license upon their arrival for $10. $30 to any non-qualifier or non-starter.

The SCB series has a unique rules package that allows teams to use their current equipment (especially in the engine compartment) yet curbing nightly tire expense...which helps equalize the competition with teams of varying budget sizes. The SCB “20° wing angle rule” also helps by freeing up the cars to be able to pass easier in many cases that also helps reduce excess tire and engine wear. Our ‘one rear tire all night long’ rule has not only saved racers thousands of dollars over the past four years, but to date, we’ve yet to have one tire fail (blow) due to excess tire wear in any feature race we’ve held.

All these small, yet effective changes, have been accomplished without the racers having to purchase something out of the ordinary. And we essentially haven’t changed the rules since the inception of the series at the end of 2015.

And let’s face it, since the events of 9/11/2001 – and now as of late, a lot of the economics of the sport of dirt track racing have changed drastically (especially the cost of travel, track insurance, general crowd sizes, cost of racing components), yet there really hasn’t been much being done on a nationwide level to help counteract those economic impacts. We aren’t trying to say we’ve ‘fixed’ all those impacts, but at least we are doing something to help curb racer expenses – and it’s working.

Our rules package certainly has made for exciting and unpredictable racing outcomes – as there have been 23 different feature winners in the past 37 series events!

Click www.SprintCarBandits.com for the latest in series news SCB tour is headed to next. You can also reach the SCB on Facebook @SprintCarBandits.

If your business is interested in getting involved with the SCB series, please email [email protected] for more information. There are effective programs available for all sizes of budgets.

We look forward to seeing you Saturday, October 10th when the Sprint Car Bandits 360C.I. “FALLS TOWN SPRINT SHOWDOWN” invades Monarch Motor Speedway in Wichita Falls with high-powered winged Sprint Cars battling on the racy 1/4 mile speed plant, paired three more exciting racing divisions!
