The state of Kansas has updated their quarantine list today  to include people who attend a mass gathering of more than 500 people outside of state.

The exact wording of the press release

KDHE is mandating a 14-day home quarantine for anyone in Kansas if you have: 1. Traveled to or attended a mass gathering/event outside of Kansas in which 500 or more people were in attendance, on or after August 11.

Why would you tell the state where you had been or what you were doing. It is none of their business. Go to the damn race if you want.

The issue is that many business’ have an entry protocol where they ask their employees questions related to Covid.   If the company that you work for performs this protocol, they will ask you this question.   At this point, the company is relying on the employee to be honest and tell the truth.   If the employee decides to not be honest and not declare where they have been, the company really has no recourse at this point.

In the vast majority of cases, this is where it stops.   However, if your lie is ever found out, your employer will definitely take actions.  Since your lie relates to the safety of your co-workers, the consequence is probably your employment.
