22nd NCRA Modified Season Kicks off This Saturday Night!

Park City, Kansas – April 17, 2019 - The 22nd consecutive season for the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Mel Hambelton Ford Racing modified tour will kick off this coming Saturday night at 81 Speedway in Park City for a “night before Easter” you and the family will not want to miss.

Over thirty modified drivers from a three-state area are expected to do battle atop the three-eighths mile clay oval is search of the $1000 first place prize and a positive start on the 2019 title chase.

Defending tour champion Tanner Mullens of Wichita is not expected to defend his inaugural championship so the battle will be on to see who can itch their names in the 49-year NCRA history books.

Former three-time tour champion Dan Powers looks to get back into championship form and claim his fourth championship while former champions Scott Green and Tyler Davis, who are teammates once again this season, look to claim their second series championship.

Cody Schniepp, who led much of the 2018-point standings yet came just 85-points short of the championship, is expected back as are Josh Lanterman, Brandon Massey, Jake Nightingale, Bryce Schniepp, Cory Lagroon, Ross Shipman, Ryan McAninch and more.

Also on the speedway racing card will be the season opener for the series crate late model and mod lite divisions while the Oklahoma based Sooner Limited Modified Series will also be competing.

Gates will open at 4:00 PM with race action set for a 7:00 PM start time.

Grandstand adult general admission is just $15 while children eleven and under will be admitted into the grandstands for free. Make sure to bring the kids as the speedway will be giving away a chance for some youngsters to win a bicycle as well as Easter egg hunts and a chance to meet the Easter Bunny. Pit passes are just $30.

More information on the series modified division, including updated schedule, rules and more can be found on their official website www.racencra.com and their official facebook page: NCRA Racing Series. Questions and inquires can be answered by calling (316) 755-1781.
