Just reviewed Salina's schedule and the WoO sprint cars are not scheduled. Why Not? They've always drawn a huge crowd and could even support 2 events a year.

I remember watching this years race on Dirtvison and was surprised that the crowd was fairly sparse. Maybe there was weather in the area or something. Sometimes the WoO and promoters also feel that an event may also benefit from a year off to generate more buzz for a return.

Same answer for every questions like this at this time of the year. Risk/reward. If the promoter thinks that they will make money, they will book the show. The above comment is also correct about "marginal" markets. Sometimes, people start to take the visits for granted because they know that they can see them next year. If they skip a year, it makes people not take them for granted. Of course, if you were on a known profitable date/track, you would not do this.

Salina highbanks Speedway schedule cane out. No outlaws, per salina Facebook, SLS Promotions who promote some if outlaw shows said taking a year off in this market. May try again in a year or two. It’s a top notch facility. Too bad
