There are multiple threads on here since last night on how to get some of the blatant safety issues at some of these tracks fixed.   Should the racers band together and do something?   What about the track owners?   What about the sanctioning bodies?    Now it hits me that there is one guy that represents all three categories, that being Tony Stewart.   We've got a guy that is very influential in our sport as a driver, track owner, and sanctioning body owner.   He's given much back to the sport.   I just wonder if he's the guy that could get things moving in a positive direction?   B.C., JJ, and now Greg.   I'm really ready to see this stop...

not to get off topic .I've been going to lernerville for a very long time was there Saturday night and noticed they installed plastic barrels in turn 4 along the wall. which 2 cars I do believe ended up hitting  the barrels which I believe reduced some damage to the cars one car backed into it and was pushed off and restarted the race. I believe that was a good improvement.

Yep Brownie even commented on it via Twitter and track champ AJ Flick responded as well.

I noticed Saturday that Eldora has tire bundles/barriers in front of each "blunt" area on each track entrance/exit.

The onus is on track owners to fix a track's danger spots, not any one person, IMO.

What I've always wondered is how these some of tracks are able to get insurance?

I don't know about Stewart but I'd bet that if Donny Schatz got a handful of the other big name WoO drivers on the same page people would stand up and listen.
