Don’t overlook this one. The total purse is 300k for the weekend, $40k to win and 3k to start.

B main pays 30k, which is second only to Knoxville and more than an All Star show.

I hope the support is there both fans and cars.

Last season fan support was great. I think it will be even better this year. I also think the new track configuration (4/10s) will help car counts as well. At first I was a little unsettled by the track shortening, but the more I think about it, and the closer the season gets, the more I think it will be an overwhelmingly good thing.

I know I'm excited for this one.

It's also a 3 day show right?  I wonder what the payout is for Thursday and Friday?  I think it's 10k to win both those nights too maybe?

You are correct facebookstalker, it pays $10K Thursday and Friday night.

Just guessing that those two nights are typical WoO purses.

3 Day Pass is $99 Reserved and $89 for General Admission.

Not a bad deal for fans. I plan to be there for my first jackson Nationals.

Thanks, I think you're pry right about the other two nights.   I can't make it up to Mn this year, but I'll for sure be watching via DirtVision.

The payout for the Ironman 55 at Pevely is $62,950 ($20,000 to win and $1,000 to start) for both Friday and Saturday night this year, due to the Saturday show being rained out last year.  $125,900 total for two A-Mains on consecutive nights.

Can't wait for this event...my hometown track on my birthday weekend!

Great job Doug and crew on bringing this event to reality...those of us from back in the day always hoped this would turn into a marquee event!

I hope for 45-50 cars. With the b main paying what it does, it should attract that kind of car count or greater.

The only issue with this show is I see no extra to the B or C main cars. If tracks want cars to support they need to spread out the $$$$. Heck if they only pay $100 tow and you have to pay a $150 entry fee you are already losing money. To me entry fees are ridiculous unless a team can made it back.

Depends on if you're going for a huge car count or going for having a good car count and only the better teams showing up. I think that was the strategy Cody Sommer took there. Plus, most drivers and teams don't travel to the event expecting to finish 8th in the B or C...

On topic, Jackson Nationals looks like it should be a great event. If it wasn't eleven hours away I would love to go.

Yup, same here.  13 hrs away in CO with so much sprint car racing. (ugh) This is a dirtvision purchase forsure.  I will be in the area for work for the ASCS race and really looking forward to see how the 4/10 mile track looks in person.  I'll miss the old 1/2 mile as its what I grew up with being my home track but I think this will make for better racing.

So another 1/2 mile goes by the wayside. Sad to see the more expensive the engines get, the smaller the tracks they have to run them on. In last 3 years say goodbye to Des Moines, Farley and weekly racing at West Liberty and Oskaloosa. Engine cost goes up, half miles go bye bye. Sad!!
