You're just not looking in the right places. PLENTY of teams utilize social media (mainly Twitter but also Facebook) to promote their team. Some also utilize weekly press releases whether through their team or a PR business like Bill W on here or DPM Media (KTJ's wife) or ILP. An aside, those "weekly press releases" are a polarizing subject on here, but from a sponsor and team perspective it makes sense to do them. You just gotta look on Twitter in the right places. Driverslike Brian Brown, Greg Wilson and others do a fantastic job on social media of promoting their team AND sponsors.
