Hi folks.
I have purchased a early J&J chassis that I am wanting to restore.
The problem is that it has had downtubes put on it and it is a non downtube chassis.
Has anyone got any decent photos of any non downtube J&J chassis cars so I can get some idea of what has been chopped and changed on my chassis.
Also did J&J put build numbers on the early cars and if so where would I look to find it.
Cheers Lindsay.

I would suggest reaching out to J & J on Facebook. Bonnie is very active on social media and is very personable. I'm sure they could help.

Thanks for the advice.
I emailed J&J and they were not really able to help me as they said they didn’t start tagging the chassis until 2000
and didn’t think they had any photos or info on the early chassis.
So if anyone has any photos of mid to late 80s non downtube cars that would be great thanks.

Check out some pics of the early Luna Fords. I think they may have been J&J's I believe they always used them.

I could be wrong, but i'm pretty sure the bruce cogle ford sprint cars that Bubby Jones drove in the 76 hulman classic and the one that sammy swindell drove in the 77 Knoxville nationals were both early j&j's - check them out - hope that helps

google image search, Frankie Kerr 23s, there's a few shots there. Can you post a pic of what you have? Shouldn't be difficult to figure out.
