guy was not taking no for answer and on a rail, especially coming out of four...

track was well prepared and tacky most of the evening.  qualifying showed quick time @ 11.4 by ???  Ha, senior moment...

the battle between him and shane stewart was worth the price of admission, epic.

donut king transferred out of the B...lack luster finishing somewhere mid pack

Ascot was the greatest of all time..

West Capital wasn't half bad either..

Life is good...

Looked like the cushion was really tricky...

If I was was 1800 miles closer I would pull out that $55 out of my wallet ASAP.

Love when the locals can stand a chance and actually dominate the Outlaws.

Actually, Fri. was $45  Sat.is $55  Track was reworked twice during the evening but worth the wait as it made the feature racy.  Except for Stewart the outlaws didn't show well. Local guys in 5 of top 6 finishers.  But Saturday will be a whole new night.

Posse has the best chance of beating Outlaws and California is probably next hardest competition for them, especially at Chico due to higher car counts and the track being a bullring. (and, of course, some really good CA drivers).  Californians have won last 6 out of 7 final night Gold Cup races:  Meyers, Larson, Larson, Meyers, Allard, Schatz, and Abreu.

Jac Haud seemed to do very well this weekend in Cali. I know teams peak and valley but is this his type of track etc etc? Is this explainable or just racing?

And whats the big deal with the Gold Cup? Long history but only $2000 more prize money than a regular show. What is the attraction? No offense to anyone, never been there and dont know much about it.

Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

A lot of history, but a shell of its former self. Big for the cali guys though.

the big deal is that last night was the 64th running of the gold cup.  epic california bullring that is never short of excitement with NO guard rails in 1-4!  back in the day it was 50K to win!

its been on the outlaw tour forever, Haud has won it three times with 75 appearances at the track over his career

where do you attend up there?

An occasional trip thru North Dakota. Just enjoyed the e in 3 at Grand Firks West Fargo and Minot. Did enjoy going to Edmonton years back but it was a Outlaw show with a few locals taking up space. Sounds like a Cali trip would be good since the locals can all but displace the entire WoO drivers from the top 10 spots. But with a full week between double headers what would a Canadian do in California for 5 days? No answer required.lol

If I were you, and wanted to take a cool road trip, the week of Skagit, Grays Harvor, random track in Oregon and Chico is a fun Deal. Lots of nice scenery, some major cities in Seattle and Portland. I did that trip a few times and it's great fun.

This.  Especially if the WoO hits Cottage Grove (which they didn't this year) on the way down to California.  The last 2 years at Skagit have been incredible shows for the outlaws as well.
