What happened with Sammy last night not being able to run the B after transfering out of the C? He was in the staging area before they got the one to go but wasn't allowed out. As a long time fan, I was frankly a littled disappointed with the Wolrd of Outlaws on that call. Sure he probably wasn't going to make the A from the tail but any laps you get to see  a legend on the track is a reward to the fans.

Because the Outlaws still make the rules as they go.....unless you're a Platinum member, then you get preferential treatment.

Who knows what happened. Could've been something wrong with the car that wasn't noticed until staging or something too.

Let's face it. Sammy is a part time driver now at age 61, and not driving WoO calibur equipment. Only if he hits everything absolutely perfect will he be a threat in a 410 sprinter. And that's tough to do full time, let alone part time. I enjoy his being there most of all, and the hopes that he'll have a decent night. And there may still be some nights when he will rise to the occasion, because he's Sammy!

He pushed up to the staging area late and they didn't let him out. Not sure why he would've pushed up to the staging area if he didn't intend to run it.

Vande---no new rules made up.  If he was late, I've seen it enforced already two times this year---and I've only been to two WOO races.   (if that is indeed why he was not allowed out---speculation from previous posts)

Sammy had the oppourtunity to get in a car and race central pa on more than 1 occassion, recently in fact.  The struggles they are having in the 3 car with the new tire, which he is not adapting to well at all, I just don't see him sticking it out to season's end. As for WRG, there starting to believe they don't need the racers and that the racers need them. WRONG.  Sammy has been a pleasure to watch for many many years. I hope he gets 1 more good run at the chilli bowl and can walk away saying i can still do it.

That's kind of what I've been saying all along on different threads, Sammy does not have the tires figured out when it comes to the tire used in WoO/410 racing.    He's been backpedaling on dry slick ever since they went to it.
