I see Port Royal has Speedshifttv lined up for both their shows. Any other tracks offering PPV for us fans in the midwest? Thanks

That is a rip off!  You can go watch this race live for only 20.00 on Thursday night and on Saturday you can see it live for 22.00.  This internet ppv is way too expensive!

I don't do ppv for anything but a whole house full people can watch the ppv for that price.

Lets see. I would have to buy a plane ticket, car rental, hotel, and food plus buy a ticket to attend live or I buy a $20-30 PPV. I think I will take the PPV and I don't have to burn any vacation days. I don't have a problem with the PPV provider and track making some money off the deal. I have watched both Speedshift and Dirtstation and they put out good quality shows. If PPV is too much, please attend in person. I just appreciate the fact the tracks will bring it live to people outside the area.

This is NOT a rip-off when you live about 500 miles away!  These folks do a Great job to boot with all the extra stuff they show.  Personally, they are the Best PPV option on the net and I've watched them all....

That's a fair price. PPV is for people who can't attend the show primarily. If your within reasonable driving distance it isn't the best deal but like I said, not the intended audience.

I live 15 minutes from the track and yes, it is a ripoff.  If I lived 500 miles away, I wouldn't purchase this either, because you will only see at most 32 cars.   Thursday night will have a lower car count probably around 28.  These races should be 12 to 15 each not 19.95 each!

I paid 24.95 for the WoO show at Joliet last night so $20 a perfectly acceptable price and is around the norm for PPV broadcasts.

Be lucky you live close to so many quality tracks with good sprint car racing. I live in Texas and dont get much at all.

I do a hell of a lot of PPV and see standard prices from $19.99 per show to all the way up to the ridiculous price of the Knoxville Nationals four day show which is (list price) $44.00 ea. for Wed-Thur, $45.00 for Fri and $49.00 for Sat.....$182.00....which is MORE than being there! So party buying is the only way to make that cost effective. I do theCushion, Dirtvision, Speed Shift and other random PPV's and sprint car only, with the exception of the Chili Bowl on Racin Boys. The pricing does get pretty spendy and I have backed off some this year. Screw the "well it would cost you more to get there" arguement! Tha'ts the PPV providers cop out. The entertainment factor of being there is a hell of a lot more fun than watching on a screen, and being there is worth the extra costs involved! One thing all the PPV providers could do and it would probably increase there viewership, would be to reward steady viewers with either a free broadcast after every paid five events or a sizeanble discount, or something to that order. It's easier to spend money for a product like PPV when you feel as though your business is appreciated. That is the one thing that is really lacking from PPV carriers. TheCushion offers a discount to Premium Members, but there is a membership fee so they really aren't fooling anybody. As nice in this day and age as it is to have PPV, I don't have any where near the fond memories from a PPV broadcast that I do with races I've attended in person. There are some things PPV can't provide as far as the entertainment factor. But, it does beat waiting for the results of races, which in days gone by was as much as a 2-4 week wait for the racing papers and magazines to arrive. Smile

Did not have DirtStation on TrophyDash.com so now I've added it and the two Lincoln PA Speedweek shows you've mentioned to the listings. I will add any more shows I see advertised there.

I should say that price is normal for a PPV, which isn't bad. I generally if I'm interested in a PPV wait to see what all and who alll shows up at a race I'm interested in. This year I think I've gotten the SCCS at Petaluma, ASCoC speedweek at Sharon, and the May 8th or so race at Knoxville on PPV and have been happy with all of them. They're all 20-25 bucks but for what I got out of my money I was happy. I always try to get bang for your buck races instead of just any old race for PPV.

I would've never attended any of those 3 races in person and I was still able to enjoy them for essentially the price of a ticket. It's obviously not near as fun as being at the atmosphere of the track but when the local area has been rained out for weeks (no sprint car races in OH from 4/22-5/11) or you're interested in a cross country race in the case of Petaluma, or just can't make it due to work/school the PPV has a place and the price under those circumstances is fair.

I order several pay per views across sprints, midgets & late models each year.  Have ordered from both DirtStation & Speedshift in the past & was pleased with them both.  I might order one of the PA Speedweek shows depending on what else I have going on.

The price on some of them are close to what the ticket would cost, but when I am ordering, these are races I would not feasibly be able to attend due to being so far away from them.  Also, it is cool to be able to see all the "big events" on PPV.  Chili Bowl, World 100, Knoxville Nationals & Kings Royal are all on PPV this year.  I'm going to the last 2 nights of Knoxville but other than that my only way to see these is the PPV route.  I just factor it into my racing budget each year.

Do you know what it costs to setup and stream a PPV? I don't.  Do you know what cut the track makes the PPV company pay?  I don't.

If you think it's too expensive, don't buy it.  If enough people don't buy it they will either lower the price or stop offering the service.  Problem solved.

By the way, a $21.95 dollar show is about $30 up here in Canada and I still think it's a good deal.  You aren't watching $300 Street Stocks, you're watching a hundred thousand dollar sprint car when everything is factored in, what do you expect?  I just wish everything was HD, I think Eldora might be, it sure looks good on a 60 inch screen with surround sound added....

PPV is the only reasonable way to endure a 410 race at Selinsgrove...

Lincoln 1845 ft/.35 mile T1=118MPH
Eldora 2287 ft/.43mile T3=135MPH
Port 2716 ft/.51 mile T3=TBD
Grove 2792 ft/.53 mile T3=135MPH
Selinsgrove 2847 ft/.54 mile T1=136MPH

I've enjoyed a vast majority of the PPV spirnt races I've watched and the product keeps getting better across all sites (Speeshift, DirtStation, DirtVision, etc.) While attending in person is always favorable, PPV sprint car racing is a great alternative too.

Ski goggles for the turn 1 hill or just sit under the covered grandstand which is usually dust free. I actually used the goggles at Port last week too. IMO Grandview is way worse and Big Diamond was the dustiest ever.
