AFTER RAINOUT BRODY ROA BACK IN ACTION THIS WEEK AT THE BAKERSFIELD SPEEDWAY!
(Buena Park, CA, April 11, 2017) Shrugging off the disappointment of a rainout last week at the Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, Brody Roa and the BR Performance team have set their sights on victory circle when the USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series returns to the Bakersfield Speedway for the first time since 2005 this Saturday night, April 15th.
The 26-year-old Garden Grove, California veteran heads into Saturday’s race fourth in the championship standings and coming off a well-earned third place finish at Perris Auto Speedway two weeks ago.
Saturday’s appearance of the USAC/CRA Series at the track called, “The West’s Fastest 1/3 Mile High Banked Clay Oval,” will be its only one in 2017. While the track will be new to many of the competitors in the series, it is no stranger to Roa. He last appeared there on March 19th, 2016 in the USAC West Coast Sprint Car Series. It was a fine showing for the driver who would go on to win the series title when he qualified third fastest, placed fourth in his heat and fourth in the 30-lap main. The effort allowed him to extend his advantage in the 2016 championship standings from 14 to 20 points over his closest pursuer.
After Saturday’s race at the “Okie Bowl,” the #91R team will get two weeks off before heading to the picturesque Ventura Raceway on May 6th.
