Is he planning on running most of the World of Outlaws schedule? I think he has ran every WoO so far.

This schedule only goes through the end of March but it includes a variety of racing so it looks like he's not following the Outlaws.  His name never came up as one of the member drivers (gold, silver, platinum, lead, whatever they hell call it when a driver joins the tour).

Hes needed. He can beat donny on a hammerdown track.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

A lot of outlaws ran that schedule with the ASCoC and ASCS in Florida. I'd imagine he runs the Western Swing with outlaws and then maybe he'd freelance from there. And from this quote I pulled off of racingnews.co article from when he was announced going to dirt full time after losing the truck ride looks like he'll be doing some USAC midget stuff occasionally as well.

Dirt track racing is the only thing planned, “I’ve got sprint cars with my family and midget car races with Keith Kunz,” Abreu added. “That’s all I got.”

Hate to break the news to you Mr. M., but anyone can beat anybody on a hammer down track.  That's known to most as a high speed freight train.  No passing and simply hold the throttle to the floor.  More like a glorified set of hotlaps and a big difference than actually racing.

I'm sure rico will race when and where he chooses.  Racing a variety of cars is probably more fun and makes u a better driver than just running wing cars all the time IMHO

Rico can win on any give night.  Is he better than Shatz, not as this point.  But he can definetly beat him on some nights, tulare this weekend is a good track for rico and not so much for Donny.  the tracks motto is you need big ball to race here.   So Rico's got everything that is necesary to win again at Tulare.  (so does Donny)

Anyway, I always enjoy racing a bit more when Rico is racing

cheers

I wish he'd focus on wingless. I think he's better at that, & USAC lost several big names this year.

He's good with a wing too & obviously it pays more.... oh well

Rico is a pleasure to watch no matter what he is in. IF, he wanted to, if am sure the outlaws would be extending show up money to the 24 team. Personally I like seeing guys run were they want to run. I'm sure he will hit the bigger shows, be it USAC, ALL-STARS, WoO. It would not surprise me to see him show up at your local track then head for say pa and test the waters there for a weekend.

How do you figure that he is better at wingless?  He has ran non-wing one weekend.  Granted he won both events but hard to use one weekend as justification...

Umm.....race results beyond this years???  He is very talented in a non wing car.....he is also in the very best non wing cars in the country.  I would have to say he is better equipped to win races in a non wing car than winged.

When I spoke to him in Florida earlier this year he indicated he did plan to visit PA tracks later in the year.

I'm going on past years results, USAC Midget championships, etc.

I didn't look up any results, just memory & what I've seen. Last time I saw Rico he won Midget race at Eldora 4 Crown, was leading Allstars winged race & spun out  unassisted.

I like watching him drive anything. I've seen him dominate in midgets & do OK in wings

His driving style reminds me of a young Jac Haudenschild. And just like Jac everybody loves him.
