Be sure to mark down Friday, September 8th on your racing calendar!!!
It has just been finalized that the Lucas Oil POWRI/WAR (Wingless Auto Racing) sprint cars have been added to the line-up for the Nebraska Cup at America's Home Track, Eagle Raceway.
Since USAC has decided to have no racing for their series west of Illinois this year, if you want to see the wingless sprints "backing it in", you will have to come to the Nebraska Cup.
The WAR sprint cars are one of the very rare sanctions that has absolutely NO engine displacement rules. ANYTHING GOES for the beasts that drive these non-winged sprinters!!!
Joining the WAR sprints on the card will be the Sprint Series of Nebraska, featuring the Racesaver IMCA winged sprints and the SLMR Super Late Models.
I am lucky enough to work at one of the best tracks
anywhere.

grumble grumble grumble, effin USAC, complain, grumble some more, whine.
The weekend after Labor Day is good, I just wish it was on a Saturday since most seasons are over and everything IMCA is focused on Boone....I think I might forget about trying to get back to the 4 Crown later in the month and take in what sounds like a decent show.
I was going to ask how many WAR cars we could expect but USAC only brought 16-18 so it couldn't be much worse. (all 3 I saw were damn good shows though)
Just LMs and wingless sprints would be enough, I can take or leave the 305s.
