I doubt you will hear little to nothing. There are way too many variables here that are buried deep down in the contract. You will know something when a press release goes out if it does.

Yeah, sounds like selling Craftsman will just buy them a little time. You make a good point. I rarely ever go to Sears and when I do it's only because I need blades for my Craftsman edger. Kmart actually pulled out of Texas many years ago, although there is still one store that I know of out in Abilene. With respect to the WoO I'm sure that the current agreement will be honored by whoever buys them for it's duration anyway, but beyond that who knows.

The fact that Sears is in a death spiral is not new news. In fact, when the Craftsman sponsorship was announced, the health of Sears was brought up. Some people believed that the Craftsman sponsorship was a step in seperating itself from Sears. The news that the Craftsman brand is being split up is also not new news.
It would be foolish to try to sit and determine what the new owners would do with this agreement. It is safe to say that if they are seeing value in the agreement that they will continue. In other words, go buy yourself some Craftsman tools.
