A breezy cool evening brought fans out to Petaluma’s beautiful 3/8th’s with Pit Stop USA Winged 360’s, USAC vs BCRA Midgets, and BCRA Midget Lites.  Point leader Bradley Terrell nabbed quick time with a 12.698. Young guns Riley Matson and Jake Haulot picked up the pair of heat races.  Third year veteran Marissa Polizzi and visiting Bobby Butler would lead the field to green for the 25 lap feature.  Butler would take the early lead but Andy Forsberg would make some early race moves to move into 2nd. Forsberg would make the pass for the lead on the sixth stanza and Terrell would move into 2nd a lap later.  The well-prepped #7c C&M Motorsports of Forsberg would get the Scott Erwin twin checkers and win the main event with Terrell in 2nd, Matson in 3rd, over Haulot, and Zack Lynskey.

The USAC and BCRA Midgets would make their return to the 3/8th’s with 24 cars signing into the pits. Dustin Golobic would set quick time with a time of 14.216. A 3 heat race format saw Ronnie Gardner, Cory Elliott, and Frankie Guerrini pick up victories. Gardner and Shannon McQueen would lead the field to green with Gardner taking the early advantage. Alex Schutte would work his way through the field from the 12th spot and would catch Gardner in traffic and make a mid-race pass for the lead. After going 20 laps non-stop, it would be a battle for the lead but Schutte would hold off Gardner for the win, Gardner in 2nd and McQueen in 3rd.

The BCRA Midget Lites also were on the program with 11 cars. Young gun Kyle Offill and former champion Craig Dillard picked up heat race victories and both of them would lead the field to green with Dillard taking the lead. Dillard and Offill would battle for the lead for 20 laps but Dillard would hold Offill off after many attempts and pick up the victory with Offill in 2nd and Hunter Kinney in 3rd.

Petaluma Speedway returns to action this weekend with Winged 360, Spec Sprints, Super Stocks, and 600’s. For more information, please visit our website http://www.petaluma-speedway.com.
