He should have to pay at least what he has "saved" running XXX stuff He knows better.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Kid definitely took a 20-30' ride on the side of Stewart's car.
Hitting the gas at the end is what made it look bad to everyone.
Was already tossed out once, can't picture much sticking this time either.

The lawyer representing the family is a bible thumping Texan who regulary appears on Fox News. His statements released yesterday or today are proving that he knows nothing about sprint car racing. I am hoping those statements piss off Smoke and his lawyers enough to not even consider a settlement and to go after this Dbag for slander and filing frivolous lawsuits. (they can turn around and donate every penny they recieve in return to injured racers, but show this scumbag lawyer that he is out of line)

Getting the venue moved from New York State to the federal system was a HUGE win for Tony. That should tell us that Tony has no intention of settling
There is no replacement for cubic displacement

I want more than the Ward family to pay legal fees, actually I do not really care as it is only money.
I want this Dbag lawyer to suffer the consquences of frivolous lawsuits and blatently inflammatory and false public statements about a subject he knows nothing about. He is certainly the one who convinced the family to go for the money grab, and is speaking out of his ass in a desperate (fradulant) attempt to defame.
Hold this bible thumper responsible for HIS actions.

The thing is, that is not the #14 you hear on the throttle. That is a car on the front straight. Towards the end of the video, you can even see that car come in from the right at a higher rate of speed. I have never seen a sprint car "dip" down on the right when someone bumps the throttle. Maybe when someone jumps up and grabs on to the wing...........

I've said the same thing since I saw the video, I don't believe it was Tony that did the rev, and it should have kicked the rear end to the right and it didn't!! Hope Tony's people come with both battels loaded!!

I'm very happy that Stewart is taking that position that as the parents and car owners it was their responsibility to make sure that the kid was in shape to drive. It greatly offends my sensibilities that they have shirked their duties and now try to hold someone else responsible for the outcome.

If you crap your pants, is it the guy's fault that hollered "boo" or should you have taken a crap earlier? The Ward family needs to conceed one fact, only. If the kid had stayed in the car, he'd still be alive. The guy that crapped his pants?....Well, he needs to take rsposnsibility for it, and not try to lay the blame on someone else. Maybe a poor analogy, but it all boils down to taking responsibility for a person's own actions. Something that seems to be lost in today's society!

So I guess the Ward family is saying we loved our son so much and we miss him soooo much but give us a couple million and we will forget about it. Money hungry!!!! Its a shame it happened but if u truly cared money wouldn't make a difference!

I think if they would have just talked to Tony at some point this year they probably would have gotten any amount of money they wanted from him. Instead they continue to drag his name through the dirt feeling that he was trying to scare Kevin Ward Jr and saying there are consequences for his actions, talking about his history of being a hot head, he intentially wrecked Kevin, filing suit basically on the 1yr anniversry, etc.
The evidence supports Tony's side of the story. IF there was contact between the two it was minimal and with no rear views in the car how is Tony supposed to know who wrecked and what the caution is for. It would be interesting to know if the track specially stated where/who the caution was but i would imagine that was at the criminal precedings. Tony has no reason to try to scare Kevin Ward as he got the position, no damage to his car, and the two had no other history. It would have been said already if they were going at it before the wreck happened so I doubt they had issues earlier in the race so again no reason for Tony to have an issue with Ward. It also appears that the car before Tony is actually higher than he was (may have hurt his vision even further) and Tony is running the same speed as that car. The criminal procedings also said that Tony had remained straight and did not have any irratic moves. If he gases the car, its to avoid him, if he doesn't gas it, Ward is still hit and probably gets killed.
It sounds like this family is looking for a scapegoat. Someone else to place blame on for their sons death and I get that. I hope I never have to even come close to the loss of a child, but there are better ways of going about it than this. They continue to dismiss the fact that he smoked Marijuana at the most 5hrs before the race which is proven by science not opinon. I am not blaming Marijuana for the accident but it would be no different than drinking beforehand. Finally, they fail to see that their son actually walks down toward Tony's car unlike all of the other cars.

We all know what we believe is the fuel behind this lawsuit....money. And more than anything that pisses me off because any money that Tony has to spend on lawyers, etc COULD be money that he WON'T be spending in our sport. But what really has me going is some freak on here actually thinks that Tony Stewart was purchasing TripleX chassis' to save money on his race teams. IF Tony were to purchase XXX chassis it would be because they are proven to be race winning, not to save money. The dude that wrote that; (about the second or third reply back) may have been thinking that because Kraig Kinser had been running a XXX that somehow that was related....who knows what he meant but he is wrong. AS USUAL.

IF. Mighty big word, If he would have flipped it would have been a red flag.
If he would have stayed in the car.
If it didn't happen nobody on here would have known he was high.
If Tony Stewart hadn't shown up.
If Kevin Ward hadn't shown up. If, If, If.
My take on the marijuana is a lot of you only know what you've been told. It is the big bad drug after all. They must have just came up with this scientific science part, Always heard they couldn't pinpoint when you smoked only that you had because of the nanograms/thc in the system.
If I had my choice I'd definatly take the weed over the alcohol any day.

Yeah, whatever you say Cheech. Truth is "IF" Kevin Ward had smoked no pot at all it's still 100% his fault.

Neither of your "choice" is good if you are driving a sprint car
