Will it be a problem to get tickets at the track? Is any one spot to sit better than another? Thanks

i would think tickets would not be a problem for each night.

as far as seating, it all depends on your preference. i don't think there is really a bad seat in the main stands. the lower bleecher seats in turn four get you blasted with dirt and if you go in the pits and use the pit stands in turn one you can get blasted with mud in hot laps.

even most bleacher seats along the front straight are ok. i have friends that love the lower bleechers to the right as you come up from the main entrance tunnel. you can get a little dusted there, but hey it's a dirt track! up in the lower center of the main stands is a good spot as well in my opinion.

thanks. all i can say to someone not familiar with tulare is i don't know if there has ever been a bad race there. and if there has, it has been better than a good race someplace else. tulare separates the exceptional driver from the rest real fast. tulare is a battle ground. you just can't go there to race, you have to go there to wage war.

Give it up Calendar Dork!  IIRC you were trying to use someone else's number to get in! Nobody owes you anything...pay the people or go get a hotel as they are very cheap & plentiful in Tulare if the camping is too steep for you.

Not a high paid motel desk clerk like yourself sir. Paid my fair share until last year and you are correct I paid nothing to camp there last year. For those who enjoy getting fucked over by ol' hotwheels have a blast. Some you are correct will take their money elsewhere which is smart for them and good for local business. Your enjoyment level will go up by my absence as will mine. Probably the same for others. One thing I am confident of after all these years: you will quickly find someone else to bitch about. It will ALWAYS be something. I'd tell you to have a nice life but I'm too honest to tell a lie like that.

Ha!  i go to the races to have a good time & I don't bitch about anybody....life is too short for that.  I talk more than my fair share of shit but I will do it to your face to as I mean no harm & just like to have fun.  You on the other hand always seem to be pissed off about someone or something & I always get the impression you feel like somebody or some track owes you something or should be honored to have you in attendance...whatever makes you happy man!  We all know the reral reason you are absent is that you are a diehard Sammy Swindell fan & his retirement fronm the WoO has left you no reason to watch a race.

Sorry for the thread jack Missouri!  You will love Tulare!  Awesome track, great fans, & a nice camground with trees, grass, & decent restrooms & showers.  Hit Vejar's across the street for some great Mexican & enjoy the show!

As for seats I like the top row of the smaller grandstands that are between Turn 4 at the flagstand.  The main grandstands are nice & have a covered top & backrests but I prefer the open stands & sighlines from there better.  I have yet to sit in Turn 1 but I bet it would be great as you can see the pits & there is a hump entering turn 1 that has sent many a car into the fence....even King Kinser twice in 1 night!

Riiiiiiiiight. Thank you for providing further evidence you have to be delusional to be a Sammy fan. You see me maybe once a year for the past 10 years and you think you know me that well, huh? I have a lot of regrets that's for sure and there are far more things that I am not proud than that which I am. To the OP: You will love the Thunderbowl. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house but I suggest up high in the turn 4 stands. Never sat in my actual seat though because I preferred to move around close to the track and visit with a lot of different people. As far away from Gus as possible of course :-). Make plans to come back for the Trophy Cup. Probably want to book a motel though because my sources have confirmed $40 a night this weekend for the privelage of camping at the fairgrounds whether you have a Prevost motor home or a tent. Probably be $50 a night by the time Trophy Cup rolls around......

That was a joke dude because you probably hate Sammy as much or more than you hate me which is really sad because I always supported you by buying calendars.  As for friendship I agree because if you were indeed a friend you would have caught the sarcasm & you would know that i am not a desk clerk in a motel......unless being the Director of Guest Services of a 1,234 room hotel qualifies as that.

You know I will. Total shaft last October. Have been in contact with fairgrounds and am in the know on all changes that were not in place until last T.cup.  It was a cluster fuck. They were making it up as they went. I was not the only one who felt that way. I enjoy sprint car racing and camp at all tracks we travel to. Sure sometimes things will have changed  at some tracks over time. That was all together a mess.To be locked  in fairgrounds at nite (all campers) Wed. & Thurs. is unacceptable. The locale P.D. made them man the gate. Thats one of many short comings we delt with.

Peace, Out.

Last year was my 3rd consecutive 1126 mile round trip to the Trophy Cup in my RV.  The first 2 years, I found out that you should get there a full day early in order to secure a spot in the campgrounds, hopefully with hookups.  This past year, since I was traveling alone, I wasn't prepared to add the extra day to my travel plans, and pretty much accepted the fact that the campground would be full, and I would end up in the regular parking lot next door.  When I arrived on Thursday morning, my prediction was accurate, as a quick cruise through the campground showed it to be almost full, with the few unoccupied spaces having a reserved sign on them.  I was okay with that, and drove over to the regular parking lot.  After setting up, much to my surprise, someone in a golf cart came pounding on my door wanting $30.00 a night anyway, to park in a dirt lot with no hookups, the same lot that everyone else parks in for free.  Can you spell "greed?"  I'll pass on it this year, but it is a great facility and track.
