I think the most imporatant part of this story is that he got a

haircut and tucked his shirt in like a good little boy

In that video he looks like a 50 year old man in the body of a 35 year old. If thats what drugs do for you , the pro-drugs crowd on here can have my share to ( I guess just another added advantage of the awesome feeling drugs give you) .... lol, ... dude looks rough

Great news, hopefully things work out well over the next few years and Bob puts him back in a sprint car, given the talent he has.  Hate all you want folks but there were few people out there with his gift and let yee who has not sinned cast the first stone.  As to character, there were few people in the pits who the grannies and the 5 year olds loved as much as this guy and he was special with them, I truly hope he gets it all back together.  Good luck to him!!!!

You should talk to Richard Griffin about that talent, I for one hope and prey he gets his life together and beats his deamons but this guy should never be allowed in a race car.

"If you don't like it, complain to the judge, not us."

You seem to be having difficulty grasping the basic conceopt of how a message board works. If you only want to read posts making excuses for a meth head, that's fine. Just come right out and say it. Not everyone is an apolgist who makes ridicullous comparisons between Meth and Ritalin to justify the actions of a racer that could have killed someone with his foolishness.

Nobody is making excuses for him. I said he should serve time.

Meth/ ritalin: Same thing different doses, Look it up

Sounds like 1% are getting a added bonus to me if they went in dope heads and came out clean. What actually do you think you are sent to prison for ?  Not to rehab you. Your sent there to pay your debt to society for the crimes you committed.  If Tyler walked into a police station before all this happened and said " I'm a meth head and am addicted" do you think they were gonna lock him up on the spot and put him in prison? They would have directed him to a state program / counsler to get help with his addiction.....all paid for by you and me. If he goes to jail it is for the 3 state 150mph fleeing from police and endangering his passengers life, police officers lives and innocent people traveling the roads he was on. Not because he is an addict. If he goes in a dope head and comes out a dope head he's no better, no worse than before he went it, but he did do the time for the crime. Then he can go to a rehab facility for help with his addiction. Am I understanding you that in your view if you commit any crime due to being a dope head that all punishments should be excused ?

Gives us all your master plan for doing away with all prisons and having bad people pay pay their debt to society.

I'd be willing to bet that if any of the defenders of Tylers family members were on that road and injured by his antics you all would be singing a different tune. If your son ended up in a wheel chair the rest of his life or worse dead. Would you go and ask the judge for leniency because it was all the addictions fault. Go easy on him judge, he a gasser and I love sprint cars. I think not.

Wow I must have hit a nerve with you onebunghole, what the hell are you talking about? All I said is prison will not help with any addict quitting drugs, because the post before mine said Tyler wont get clean if he dosnt do time. Thats all, The rest of the bullshit you spewed at me has nothing to do with my post, but thanks for following my posts and making up stuff in your head to argue with me about.

StaggerLee , grow up and hold an adult conversation / debate.  Your 3rd grade name calling ( I am assuming your an adult ) in most your post is pathetic...the act is old and worn out.

Simply just come back with your rebuttal or counterpoint.

The drugs have warped Tyler's brain so severely that he is impersonating several people at once & arguing with himself on Hoseheads......

As a racer and car owner I must say I don't condone Tylers actions. Having said that, my life has somewhat mirrored his in terms of actions. You see, I was un-fortunate enough to have been in a Huey that was shot down. With TBI and PTSD, I have lost 2 wives and most of my family. If you think it is smart to belittle mental problems, YOU too are a sick fuck!

It will be so funny to read all your posts when he DOES return to racing a sprint car, I can almost hear it now.

If someone offers him a ride and his "brain damage" is cleared he will race again and all of the Saints on this message

board wont be able to do anything about it. Now that will be good stuff, and not one of you perfect humanbeings will skip

a race if he's in a car, Infact I would bet his return will be a packed house wanting to see what he will do next. I just hope

he hits the track again here in 2015. Can you imagine how good he will be with a clear head, according to this board he

never raced when he wasnt high on 9 different drugs and he was still a threat to win most nights,

LETS GO TDUB GET CLEAN AND GO FASTER !!!!!!!!

Why does this guy get you all spun up?  As in if he gets clean why in the world should he not race again?

If someone could succinctly explain that to me it would be awesome.

There are two "bogeymen" to folks here sadly; Tyler Walker and Guy Webb.

I always thought the "bogeyman" was Greg Norman in a major tournament on Sunday with a lead.

Why does he get most people spun up?  I would say jealously, most likely.

-Almost everyone here would kill to have the opportunities he's had and blown at numerous levels.  (Jealousy)

-If you or I would do the same thing he did in Utah, and two other states, we most likely would not be staying out of jail. (Again jealously.  Seriously, I want his attorney. Does he do pro bono work?)

-He comes from money.  Most people don't. So they feel that everything has been "handed" to him.  (Jealousy.  Sensing a trend here?)

In my opinion, if he gets clean he should race again.  Why not?  If he's cleared and can race and someone wants to put him in a seat, go right ahead, knock yourselves out.  He'll probably do well again.  He'll win races and be very competitive until.... well... you know.... one year, two years, or four years down the road he'll get in an altercation outside of a nightclub, possibly go ballistic on track officials and security, develop vertigo, test positive for some substance, do some sort of combination of all three, or he'll figure out a new way to get in trouble.  At which point, most of you will be back on this very board debating whether or not he should be racing.

Lather, rinse, repeat.

his dad use to be a coke addict and sprint car racer......maybe he is sympathetic to what tyler is dealing with and hopes to be able to mentor him back rather than doing the "tough love" thing. if he has taken tyler back into the family business and is watching him close, it MAY help. time will tell.
