Terrible idea...this will equal one less car, how is that good for the sport?  You don't like it, don't go to that restaurant. ...it is that simple.

Terrible idea is right.  I guess since the last driver was from your neck of the woods you decided to start a protest.  If I owned a car, I would run it how I wanted, regardless of how anyone else viewed it.  If you don't like the crew, don't support the team.  But to suggest he gets fired because of your "thoughts"...ridiculous.

To reiterate what everyone else said. An absolutely awful idea.

Buffalo Wild Wings is a sponsor.  The owner of the team owns a couple of BWW franchises. The crew chief is a friend of his.  Go ahead- send an e-mail to BWW corporate.  I bet they love getting stuff like that, as it doesn't mean anything to them.

Perhaps a better alternative would be for you to buy the team.  That way, YOU could run YOUR TEAM the way YOU want to, seeing how it's YOUR team and YOUR money.

Going through 16(?) drivers is not cool.  Sending e-mails to BWW is simply not smart.

so let's just all live in the  "status quo" arena where all is good and nothing ever changes.  that is not good for our sport, is it?

what i see is the other side of the coin is, MAYBE something good will come of it.  go back and read the BWW thread again and then get back to me.  people care, plain and simple...

So now "the sport" needs to tread lightly to avoid offending a 1 car "team" that runs a screwy on again / off again schedule?

If BWW doesn't already know how this car has impacted their image, let them wreck it the rest of the way.

It is getting pretty glaring that this is a screwed up deal. I'm not close enough to this to know details other than comments people have said on here and I honestly take that with a grain of salt for awhile cause you never know if someone just doesn't get along with someone else so their talking crap. I'd say this time its pretty obvious that something goofy is going on here. It was stated that the Crockett deal was through the Nationals so obviously he was let go, and if the details by some of how it happened are correct, thats pretty spineless. Does the crew chief think he's going to find a driver that can pull off a Wolfgang style win streak or whats going on? Its not going to be too long and they may find it hard to find a decent caliber driver because they know whats going to happen and would probably rather not get left in the middle of South Dakota with no ride.

I don't care to the point that I'm going to write my congressman or anything but if this goes on the owner should be smart enough to know that eventually these things could actually be negative for his brand instead of positive advertising. If he likes racing so much he should just give a good sponsorship to a local guy like a Dobmeier or TMac or someone like that and get good PR instead of whats been going on.

First off, go ask all of these unemployed drivers out there if having one less well funded team is that big of a deal.  I'm sure hey will have a different opinion than you.   We need every car we can get.

Secondly, I've never taken sides.  First I reported what I was told by the BWW team.  It was very vague on purpose.  I never listed specifics as to why they say it happened because these types of things are ugly for everyone involved.  Once Roger contacted me with his side of the story, I updated my post with another very vague post and stated that Rogers version is the exact opposite of what the  BWW team stated... as expected.   I know both sides of the story and still don't know who to fully believe so how can any of you know what went down and how it went down.

You guys can get on here and bash me all you want, I don't care.  The deal is that the BWW team is running their team the way they want to and it works for them.  Would you or I run our team like that...doesn't matter, it is their team.  Unless you have invested interest in the team, we have no say in the matter.  If you guys think the drivers are all innocent in matters like this, your kidding yourselves.  The BWW team isn't the only team to fire drivers.  I don't have blinders on here folks...not everyone could get along with Guy Forbrook but he always had drivers and wins.  Take care gang.

Brad--Super Chuck thinks you're getting beat up about this because on your site you defended them for running the team using the "revolving door" method...then wrote the press release stating that they were trying to make a more permanent move with hiring Crockett...but even then they couldn't keep the ax in the shed.

Yes, they can run THEIR team however THEY want.  But then don't blame us when the public opinion thinks they are all fools.  They have good stuff, a very nice operation, but it's become a joke.  You come from an athletic profession and should know all about the benefits of consistency with any team.  People see the potential here, that's why they are so vocal about the duct tape used for the cockpit names.

Like others have said, its there car, they spend the funds to put the car on the track. If you dont like it go buy your own out fit and put your favorite boy behind the wheel. Pretty simple.

I have been around this sport since the 80's.  There are no more larger egos than those that turn the wrenches.  I have witnessed crew chiefs chunking a setup to make a guy look bad to get someone else in the car, disgusting.
