My family and I are traveling from SOUTH DAKOTA for the Doty Classic and then to the Outlaws race at Williams Grove.

These are 2 events on my bucket list that I am looking forward to removing

Looking for any advice or recomendations for hotel's in the area

If you going to the Doty Classic and waiting for Williams Grove you might as well stay for Eldora that weekend.

As far as hotels I stayed at the Travelodge right off of I-75 one time I went there. Street name is S leonard Ave.

Eldora is about an hour away from lima

Been to KINGS ROYAL the last 2 years, going to the Doty instead this year

My kids are bowling a national tournament in BUFFALO

so we are hitting the Doty on the way out, then the Grove on the way home

Thanks for the hotel info !!

huricanefan.

Thanks for coming to the 26th Annual "Ohio Logistics Brad Doty Classic presented by Racing Optics"!

There are several hotels in Lima, Ohio.

There is a Fairfield Inn not far from the track, which is on the West side of Lima, and there are several on the East side of town right next to I-75 with lots of restaurants near by.

If you stay on the East side, I highly recommend the Howard Johnson Inn which is very nice with an indoor pool, restaurant/bar and it is owned by a former sprint car owner.

After your trip to Buffalo you could hit the World of Outlaws show at Lernerville Speedway on Tues, July 15th and then at Lincoln Speedway on July 17th on your way to the Grove.

Thanks again for coming to the our race!

If you haven't gotten Tickets yet you can see the seating chart at www.limaland.com. Then call 419-998-3199 to purchase.

Enjoy your trip,

Brad Doty

Hopefully they will have the dreaded ORANGE BARRELS gone by then. With some construction complete and others on going the left turn from St. Rt. 117 onto St. Rt. 309 must be done from the left lane. Both lanes were in the past. If you come out by Bob Evans you have to turn right on St. Rt. 309 & get into left hand lane as quick as possible & do a U-Turn on St. Rt. 309. You also will want to get into the right lane as you are coming towards / under I-75 as St. Rt. 309 takes a curve to the right.  I-75 is still under construction as it is going to 3 lanes. Construction starts north of St. Rt. 81 & continues South almost to Cridersville.

The one time I went to visit my brother in Lima and the many times my parents have, they have always stayed at the Microtel in Delphos. It's a little ways outside of Lima, but only a 15-20 minute ride or so. It's a very nice place with ammenties around and the price has always been on the inexpensive side.

hurricanefan,

You are definately going to see a good one when  you come to the Brad Doty Classic. Should be around 50 cars on a neat 1/4 mile track and there is always plenty of action. I am counting down the days (33 days) here in Ohio for this years edition. In my opinion this is the best race of the year to attend in Ohio, although I still love the Kings Royal or any race at the Big E for that matter.

Have you been to the Trophy Cup? If not, add it to the list.

^^^this x1000

Trophy Cup by far the better of the two shows ... Not only is Tulare a better track (90% of the time) it will also cost you 1/2 as much. ..but if you're hellbent on overpriced WoO shows then Gold Cup will gladly fill that void for you.

USAC who?
