I spoke to Frank a couple of weeks ago. With the dwindling site traffic and cost of web hosting VRAFan may have been shut down. The episode where it was hacked really pretty much all but shut it down.
I would like to thank Frank for hosting the site out of his own pocket and keeping it ad free for the last five or six years.

Thanks Frank for the past few years of your life that you'll never get back, truly appreciate all your hard work and efforts.
Just received this note from the web-host for vrafan.com
Frank called me yesterday to let me know he's redirected
the domain to scrafan.com.
Apparently he does not have the time to run the board.
If there's someone out there that wants to run the board
- let me know. We we were billing Frank $19.99/month but did not charge him
from April-December 2011 due to the server crash early last year.

enjoyed the site also and appreciate his efforts, was a great local type site, the joke thread was great for new material, want ads and local updates and banter will be missed,

Just wanted to thank Frank for his time and effort.I know everyone enjoyed the site for info and updates...I dont really know anything about running a site and I am no longer local but if no one else steps up to keep the Vrafan site going I could throw my hat into the ring..Im sure my wife could guide me through it lol..

I too enjoyed VRAFan.com. Thank you for the info, the trifecta contest (came close a couple of times), the jokes, the racer/audience drama, etc. :-)
If anyone is interested, there is a Ventura Raceway Message Board on DirtTrackFan.com
None of the message boards have really taken off on my website, but they are there if anyone is interested. It is a bare bones message board that I put together, but I am open to suggestions and adding features when time permits.
I am looking forward to the end of the 'oh so quiet' off season and the start and roar of a new race season!
