Only way that would happen is if Kyles daddy gave sammy 20 bucks for the chair.

Now that's funny, but personally I would like to see Kyle in the seat of an Indy Car running the Indianopolis 500.

That's a little premature. Let's see if Kyle can match Sammy's driving record of excellence 30 years from now! Then let's see if Kyle can set up a car half as well as Sammy. People forget that Sammy is pretty much a one man show, he is crew chief/driver/owner. Not many drivers can make that claim!

I've watched and enjoyed Sammy for over 30 years and I still enjoy watching him drive.

If Kyle would stay with it & stay healthy I'd say he would have no problem matching #'s with Sammy but I don't forsee the young man staying in sprints that long. He's already done 1 thing that Sammy or the King hasn't done & that was the 1st time even racing at the place. I'm thinking that if he'd stay with the Hoffmans or Kunz he would no doubt be the King of USAC. Besting the likes of Vogler, Jones & so on.

I agree that he'll never last in open wheel cars but he's been put in top notch equipment from the very start. Steve, Sammy, Wolfie, Scruffy and all the rest pretty much started on their own dime. Starting out with MONEY makes all the difference in the world!

You are wrong about him being in the best equipment all along. Why people post about things they know nothing about confounds me. He has taken less than stellar equipment to the front enough in his short career that its earned him these new quality rides. Don't detract from his accomplishments.
Cheers!

no offense but do you have a clue as to when the "very start" even began as far as kyle is concerned?

my guess is before last year you had no clue the kid even existed.

i don't ever recall kyle being in junk, but i do recall him doing very well in the same quality equipment as most of his competition.

i don't blame people for not getting all sugary sweet and gooey over kyle, but he at least deserves credit for what he has done. the kid gets the max out of everything he drives.

i have seen plenty of money go nowhere, my guess is all the money in the world isn't your problem. no offense.

like i said, give the kid credit for what he has done. he put himself in the position he is in on his own.

what i am saying is the kid had enough talent and had results on the track that have let him progress up the ladder. money didn't do that for him. at least not the big money people try to attribute to his success. he raced with average equipment. he raced against teams spending way more money, and he did very well. he is now in a position where he has attracted people who can hopefully help him progress further. i am sure that will require money, but he has earned the opportunity to be given that chance. just like others before him that have shown talent.

by the way, money doesn't drive the car. look at steven wallace. that kid had all the money and equipment in the world and it did absolutely nothing for him. look at cody darrah last year. no offense to cody because every time i have met him he has been nothing but nice, but unfortunately he had a down right terrible year even with everything he was provided with. so stop with that money idea.

i really don't understand all the negativity toward this kid. are all you people really that jealous? i am not trying to fight his fight or stick up for him, he doesn't need that. the thing is mike and janet don't need all the crap people are talking toward kyle. all the trash talk isn't fair to them. still i bet mike gets a kick out of it and laughs his ass off at how ignorant everyone is that doesn't have a clue what they are talking about.

i just find it hard to believe that people have to try to find a way to belittle and degrade a teen age kid who just happens to be doing well and try to find excuses for his success rather than congratulate him on it.

p.s. are you going to tell us the only reason steve kinser did as good as he did was because he was in karls car? it takes more than money.

you are one of those guys who is prolly old and likes the "old" drivers, swindell, kinser and bla bla bla. the kid is a phenom today, tomorrow and for a long time to come. he has already won in more different kind or race cars race cars than either of the swindells combined (don't get me wrong they are great) he won in five different classes of race cars last year. swindells wins last year were?

so get over your old self and think of the future of racing, we need kids like this so we can continue to enjoy the sport we love so much

and just for clarification which "teams" does sammy own? just curious you know!!

Ascot was the greatest of all time..

West Capital wasn't half bad either..

Life is good...

Can he work on his own cars he drives. Can he rebuild shocks. Can he groove his own tires. Can he take a Slick tire and come up with a tread pattern that all modern day sprint car tires are designed off. Can he drive a hauler in to the track. Im sorry I think there are more then a few that like the old crowd cause they dont did more then just drive with daddys pocket book behind em.

With the versatility he has, if he had to do all these things, he could learn very quickly.

Money or not, this kids got the chops to do the job.

can you just get over it already?

who cares if the kid would show up at the track at 3 in the afternoon still wiping crud out of his eyes? he does what he is supposed to do, and that just pisses the hell out of you doesn't it.

you can talk all the smack you want, the thing is it doesn't change a thing.

for all your trash talk the kid will still go to whatever track he is supposed to be at, and drive whatever car his is supposed to drive and if the past is any indication of the future, he will have success. then you will be all butt hurt for what ever reasons you have because of it.

so you go ahead and get all butt hurt over the fact that kyle has been able to have progressed up the racing ladder.

you get all pissed that whatever talent he has was noticed and he was given the chance to progress and see if he had the talent to perform at each level and in each opportunity he was given.

and you really get pissed that he was able to hold his own at each level.

we get it.

you can't stand the fact the kid has done well.

i'm sure he loves the fact you can't stand it.

i know i do.
