Sprint drivers are you listening?? Here's the truth behind this seasons track.....When the KCF took the track over from previous owners, one Fair Board Member was put in charge of Equipment maintenance, one put in charge of track prep, Joe Roe and Steve Sinclair made all the calls on the track: to cancel or run, etc. The first flaw, the head of maintenance quit because of the promoters. The problem with the track started early season when the person in charge of track prep was hospitalised and the ex-driver took over track prep. The track became like cement due to lack of water ever since the Bike race event, and after being worked repeatedly improperly until the head of track prep came back, they could not produce a quality track.Trying to repair the damage that was done, is a several week process, and adding weather just made the task that much harder. Sprint drivers should be aware that the track prep has been in constant battles with the promoters because they insist on making a track for their close friends. Today the track prep was terminated and guess what....the promoters hired the Simons' to take over the track prep!! Have fun guys, this should be fun! Just FYI, all cancellations were at the sole discretion of Joe Roe, the track prep had no say and tried to produce the best track we could and insisted on running events but were given no input.

Thanks for the fun,

Shafted.

The track has been terrible rough for the last 1 1/2 years with current person who just got let go, I don't believe the track condition was ever this bad with Simons running it. Steve Sinclair has been around racing for a very long time & been around track prep at multiple tracks, if he feels this is the right move it probably is as opposed to somebody who did it the last year or so & messed it all up.
