Defending "USAC Knoxville Non-Wing Nationals" winner Bud Kaeding is looking for a 305 Sprint Car ride for next Sunday August 7 at the Knoxville Raceway. He will be racing a non-wing sprint car that night, but would also like to get into a 305. Anyone with any tips or wanting to put Kaeding in their car can contact Bud at [email protected]

That's what we need, is more big name drivers to ruin the 305 class like they did the 360 Nationals.

Pinksprinter6 come on man. Why are you knocking someone for wanting to race and get seat time at Knoxville without me sounding like a ass this site has enough negative stuff. Lets keep it positive.

I don't think he is wanting to ruin anything. He is just wanting to be Mr. Sprint Car this year, and since the 305 race counts for that, more power to him.

I agree with pinksprinter6, my understanding is the 305 class was established as a cost effective, entry level class to allow newcomer drivers to wing sprint cars to have a class of their own to learn in. Why allow well established 360/410 class sprint car drivers to cherry pick 305 class "special" events. My feeling is in order to participate in special 305 events a driver must've driven in a certain number of 305 events that season. Please allow the drivers that support the weekly/monthly 305 class to have a fighting chance to do well/win any 305 class events at that track.

Note, Just to be clear I wrote my reply during the time ColtanW was writing his reply and his reply was listed before mine. Had I known the 305 class feature for that night at Knoxville was part of the Mr. Sprint Car Title I wouldn't have question Bud's asking for a ride--but I sure would've asked Knoxville Raceway track officals why they are undercutting the drivers/teams that support their 305 series during the season.
