that was as bad a coverage of sprint car race as i've ever seen whoever is in charge should be fired

heck ABC's wide world of sports used to do a better job and that was 30yrs ago.why not just hire Raceway vidio or Dean Mills to do the vidio fire numbnuts (lugnut)and have Chis Holt and Scott D. do the audio

no TV is better than bad TV

I gotta give credit to Rob Klepper for having all the facts straight and actually being involved in the sport of sprint car racing. He is a great member of the media and should be recognized for that. However I really could care less about that other guy. At least they got rid of that "Crash" girl from last year.

WOW We get the CRA guys and National guys on National or at least Cable TV and all you do is bad mouth the deal. Not good. frown

It seemed to me they covered the race pretty good, intervieved the drivers that were involved in the incidents pretty well that were willing to talk, and got highlights from a 4 hour ordeal in a 1 hour show that probably included 20 minutes of commericials. I'm not sure what you guys are expecting. I was at the race, and I saw things that I missed at the race. Was the coverage perfect no, but what coverarage is including fox with Jaws, ABC/ESPN, F1 with Speed, and WOO on Speed too.

I haven't bought a Dean Mills or a Raceway Video and maybe they do a better job. Probably do because they do it 40 times a year and they do not have the constraints of commericials and dumming it down (is that the correct way to spell it) to the average fan who has no clue what a sprint car is plus they can spread it out to 3 hours.

I do not know Ron Klepper nor have I ever spoken to him (knowingly) but I think the critism is a litter over the top here. Just be thankful we had at least one race this year on TV. Sponsors like Pace, Chevy, Mopar, Temecula Pipe, Lucas Oil, K& N, Red Bull, etc actually appreciate being on TV even if it is not the up to the standards of Dean Mills and Raceway Video.

However, I enjoyed the coverage and watched it twice this week on DVR. I thought the racing thru the pack was incredible! I even enjoyed the interviews with Cardey and Sheridan. The slide jobs by EVERYONE were wild. I was looking to see how bad Jesse drove thru the pack, and I only saw him make one bad slide job on Cardey, and it seemed everyone made the same type of slide jobs on everyone during the race. Would of be interesting to get an interview with Levi and Hines, and another one with Damion, but I'm pretty sure those guys did not want to be interviewed.

After watching the video, and being a sprint car fan, I don't know how anyone could not have enjoyed it, but I guess people can see things differently.

Have a great Thanks Giving and I sure hope we get more races on TV for the Sponsors, Car Owners, and Drivers to get exposure. Plus as a fan I appreciate any race I can see on tv, I remember the old days when I had to read about the results on NSSN and it came two weeks late in the mail, we got it really good these days Smile with all kinds of races on TV, instant results on the net, and USAC showing races for free on the internet, it may not be perfect, but its pretty damn good compared to when I was a kid!

It's ok to have different opinions, mine was just different, and I guess mine was in the minority too. I'm just happy to see any CRA or non wing sprint car race on TV and I thought that race in person was pretty good, and was happy to see a replay on TV. But different views are what make this life fun wink, sounds like this weeks race at Perris is going to be extra special with all the extra $ money Howard has found, and the weather is going to cooperate too! Sounds like a fun weekend with races at Irwindale, Victorville, and Perris!!!! Great way to close out the year Smile
