I just called channel four in okc and told them about Knoxville on speed and that there is a Okc native starting the A. It is my fault that I did not tell them the the Okc native was Wayne. But the guy in the sports department said that they would turn it in. I do not if he was giving me lip service or not but heck it is worth a shot
What I understand Bob Barry Jr. is a big NASCAR fan. So at least we might get an in.

All the sports urinal I mean sports animal guys mock auto racing every chance they get. .Mark Rodgers spent time in the pits a couple of Cup races @ Texas and he knocks it now as a method to suck up to Craig Humphries on the radio. God forbid any of the 4 channels on TV that report sports or the 4 so-called "sports reporting" radio stations find time to do a local feature about motorsports of any kind. There might be a missed opportunity to tell what Bob Stoops had for breakfast or that another stick-n-ball jock or jockette tested positive for steroids. Thank God for KXY. I listen to MRN broadcats of the Cup race every week they have it & I appreciate being able to keep up without watching the tube. The only Knoxville this bunch here in OKC knows about is the one where they have a checkerboard endzone & a good girls basketball team

I dont even watch the sports on local news any more, if you cant see it or hear it live you missed it! I turn it off once they start talkin about, what they call, Sports in Oklahoma. Tryin to change public preception in local racin is an "up-hill battle" but I'll give it a shot if everybody else will. Those so called "Sports Broadcasters" would get along with Lanny real well.
