I was listening to the Windom radio station today and they give a report about the area counties commisioner's agenda, and for Jackson County it was reported that the Race Committee is on the agenda for 1-23-07. we'll have to see what's up tommorow.

The Commissioners agenda for 23 January, is available for download at the County web site, (http://www.co.jackson.mn.us/) it just states the Racing Committee will update the other County Commissioners around 10:45AM. Nothing about a full vote of the Commisioners. Just an update.
And -
What is the difference between the Racing Advisory Board in which Commissioner Loren Tusa is on and the Racing Adivsory Comittee in which Commissioner Roger Ringkob is an alternate?
Could someone attend and post of that update, not sure how long it takes for the minutes to get posted from the County Site.

The Jackson County Race Committee still did not have a new promoter for the Jackson Speedway as of Tuesday morning's commissioner meeting.
However, one could be named within days, said Commissioner Loren Tusa, who sits on the committee.
"We have interviewed people from four different states," he said of the process. "We now have two leading candidates that we are attempting to get signed."
Tusa said both candidates are established promoters who would come in with ample experience and would be able to get the operation up and running quickly.
The sticking issue is not necessarily money or facilities, said Tusa.
"It's just the competition for the entertainment dollar," he said. "It's the whole structure of racing."

3 to 5 chuckwagon races and and maybe 2 races of Hornets would pack the stands and at the
end of summer have a chuckwagon and hornet national just an idea don't take serious.
Hope things get fixed soon

i wouldnt call sprint cars "chuckwagons". the sprint car guys on here can get a little sensitive...
