Going to the High Banked Nationals this year and wondering for those that have been since the new seating was built, are there any sections to avoid? Are the higher up seats better? I haven't been to Husets since around 2013.

Before my migration to the Midway, there was no better seat than off the top of turn 4. There is a large video board there now as well. Make sure you spend some time below the Midway for a feature in the GA seating. I recommend watching heat races from different areas of the Midway from the bathrooms off turn 4 to the concessions entering turn 1

I've always enjoyed sitting at the turn 4 end of the grandstand, way up high. From there, you can watch which drivers are good in the corners. You can see the whole track, and as Big J mentions, the big screen is right there. I agree about watching the heats from down on the midway. Stand down in turn one when the cars are pitching  into the corners and throwing mud. It'll get your heart pumping.

There is one bad spot in the center, up high. A white handrail at the lower edge of that section is right in the line of site for the front stretch. Note: I park at the grade school accross the highway. It's a 5 minute walk and I don't spend an hour getting out of the parking lot.

WE have been going to Husets for a long time.  We have always sat below the walk way in the GA.  We sit just north of the flag stand a little ways.  Straight below the Pizza Ranch.  We enjoy the thrill of the high speeds.  The dirt hitting you the whole night.  We love the experience of every night of racing.  Bring a hoodie, glasses and a hat. To keep the dirt out of your eyes so you can watch the race.  It don't get any better.

Similar to HGP, we've always sat right below the beer shack on the bottom section of stands, but close to the flagstand, anywhere from the top row to 2-3 rows down (which is around 12 rows or so from the very bottom).

Then you're up close to the racing action, a few steps to the concourse (for easy access to all the outlets) and you can see everything going on in the pits and on the track.

We don't mind the occasional dust or dirt - but it's not dusty or dirty, if you know what I mean. I've gone there since the 70's and I've never had to wear goggles or anything like that in the specific location mentioned.

But Huset's layout is all about preference...and you can have whatever type of viewing experience you want - and still see the whole track - since the trailers are outside the infield.

It's a unique and awesome racing experience there.

The white rail was eliminated last year and the poles cut shorter and replaced with a round aluminum handrail, at least in front of the section I sit in.

I'd give another vote for up top turn 4.  The big screen is an incredible amenity to those seats.

I'm glad to hear that. The only times I sat there was because I was meeting someone there. Inevitably we'd end up moving to a betting spot.

Personally I think the best seats are below the Midway in the general admission you're going to eat dirt but you have the best view of everything up close

Hey Glen, how're you getting along?

I've only sat down in front a couple times. It's better now that the tow rigs are out of the infield and you can see the whole track. Truth is, that's just a little too spooky for me. The cars are right there in your lap. I remember being just north of the flag stand when the #8 of Butch Hanssen tried to come through the fence. You can see the kinked post in a lot of Husets video footage.
