I would agree. We stayed in Platte City. Plan on getting there super early, so you arrive on time. Getting to the track is not good, in addition to leaving.

I heard it's worse than Pevely or Bridgeport to leave, which is mind boggling.

Any hotel around the Legends and Kansas Speedway is 10 minutes from Lakeside. Try to park on the south side of the track when you enter the facility. If you go into the back part of the facility, it funnels to one lane when leaving and takes forever to get out.

Went to an Outlaw show there several years ago....traffic backed up to the highway due to no active parking management.  Missed qualifying and the first few heat races.  Come early.  Be prepared to stay late.  But was a very racy track the night we were there and the pits were full of NASCAR guys since there was a Cup race at Kansas Speedway that weekend.

Makes Pevely look like an Express Exit.

Since NASCAR isn't in town this weekend, it might be slightly less full than past years. It might also prevent some of the excessive standing that always happens there when the feature is running.

Hopefully that's the case. It took me more than 1 hr to get off of the freeway exit ramp alone, which is about a mile and half to the track. I ended up parking along the hwy, and walked the mile to the track. I'd love to go back but missed half the heat races despite leaving Platte City around 5.

100% agree.   Provides plenty of food options.  Even if you are not a shopping person, there are stores in Legends that you will find interesting.   The Hollywood Casino is also there.

It is also a quick easy commute to the track.
