Wait... I don't like pavement either!
For walking, racing, or bike rides
Walking on pavement was agony for me, thats when I decided I needed knee replacements
"Rails to trails" are great cause there are no cars, & they were built with 3% maximum grades. Too bad yours is paved, the one I usually use isn't, so I don't have to wear a helmet. Fortunately none of my 4 spills have landed me on my head.... NO JINX, PLEASE!!!!

I live in a town by the name of Forest Lake, MN. The path goes seven miles south to Hugo and at least eighteen miles north to North Branch. Rail siding stops at Hugo, I am a retired railroad rate analyst so it's all good.
The race chasers will need to give a ruling. I know one writer from Rice Lake, WI, that some of the hard core race chasers might have heard of. Ed Reichert, he writes for the WISSOTA papers and has racked up numbers of tracks in the hundreds. He was a school teacher but likely is retired by now. I used to run into him when I was chasing races.
