Just signed up with Flo Racing to watch the upcoming Chili Bowl. Only choice was a credit card payment of $150 for a full year. However I understand I can cancel later at anytime. Does that mean I will get a prorated credit back on my credit card?

Why would you want to get a refund is my ? as they have a boatload of racing on throughout the year in all kinds of divisions even the so called taxi cabs that actually incorporate passing in their races that I enjoy

The way I remember it, is if you cancel, they will tell you that your subscription will end on your anniversary date, and no refund. Just make sure to cancel. IF you purchased the app through Apple, good luck. Flo will tell you that you need to go through them and I found it very difficult to get anything accomplished. I basically gave up. I don't even remember if I got confirmation of cancel or not. It will automatically renew if you do not cancel. Just a mess.

That is my understanding of it as well (including the Apple piece).
I think this is all part of the recurring subscription model business plan - put up a few hoops customers have to jump through to cancel hoping that at least some of them will give up in frustration and decide it's not worth the small fee for the hassle. This isn't limited to racing streaming either... have you ever tried to cancel with OnStar? I just did and finally had to tell the rep "Listen, I've had Chevy vehicles my whole life and never pressed that button. I understand what I'm losing out on and I am not willing to keep paying. I don't want to extend, I don't want a further discount." It finally worked.
DirtVision makes you email them instead of a convenient "Cancel subscription" button on the website. Flo makes you jump through hoops. Heck, over 2 million people were still paying for dial-up through AOL a few years ago!

Hmm. I know I posted to something like this same thread 2 months ago or so and I know nothing about buying or downloading App off Apple but I bought off FLO and was charged the $150 and emailed and said darn it, I only wanted a monthly plan.
they refunded me; all but the monthly amount and then I was on the recurring monthly plan. Well with the pandemic; we started watching so much racing on FLO that after 3 months I would have recouped my annual fee! Emailed them back and said take me off monthly and go to annually. Best $150 you will spend. Just this coming week is worth it!

Have issues trying to cancel things like this that are on an automatic renewal? They wont answer your calls or E-mails to stop your purchase and/or they don't do it on time? Do what I do and use a Credit Card that's about to expire. When renewal time comes and the Card you had it on has already expired THEY will have no problems contacting you one way or the other. If you don't reply THEY will pull the plug on you.

Just keep it. It's worth it. I have no affiliation at all. I was thinking same thing as you when I signed up and ever since I signed up I have really enjoyed it. Start by watching all the video's they made this past summer following teams during night of racing - USAC, All Stars, Late Models. They do a great job. I would welcome even more of that. More importantly the Live racing coverage is awesome. Once spring rolls around and there is more racing you will really appreciate it. Its great!

They are doing everyone a favor really. Years from now you will find that you forget to switch to the yearly plan saving you $150 a year.
you all should of saved that $150 from races we missed last summer or put it on your xmas, birthday lists or something.
Chilibowl all this week. end of the month thru Feb 6 All Star races 5 Usac. 11 Ascs thru March. Starting April more racing than we can probably watch.
