Watched the ending of the first two heats.  I noticed they PAVED the track for this years racing at the Juniata county oval.   Horrible track conditions for the first race of the year.  Hard black and dry all the way around that place after the second heat.....

it is opening day, a day show and  the front strech was ripped out putting the new tunnel in....... and my man wants immediate perfection....are we going to have you chime in every week with Port Royal's track conditions again in 2020?

It's been a couple months but nothing has changed. There's still exactly ZERO people here or elsewhere who give even the smallest fraction of a shit what your opinion is. No one cares. You don't need to come back with your usual "can't handle the truth" response because no one gives a shit about that either. It was sunny, dry & breezy with a 2pm start & the track got slick. Everyone on earth beside you apparently will take that for what it is. But you're to stupid & miserable for any of that to sink in, which is fine. You be you. But don't expect anyone else to care because they don't. Have fun spending your summer watching lap times & internet streams while everyone else enjoys their time at the track. I said it before but I legitimately feel sorry for you.

With so many great dirt tracks closed or plowed under (Iowa State Fairgrounds & Husets Spweedway come to mind) maybe you should be happy to have a dirt track that is open & holds races regularly. Rather than bitch that the racing surface wasn't perfect for an early season daytime race with weather not conducive to keeping moisture in a dirt racetrack.

Check with your healthcare insurance provider. They should be able to put you in touch with a councilor in network so that your only out of pocket expense would be your copay. If that's out of your budget or you don't have health insurance, check your local Helpline to find one that works on an income qualified basis. Best of luck to you.

Look, I'm a diehard Port Royal supporter and someone who grew up on the back of my dad's race car trailer in the pits and I will say this.  I was definitley disappointed in the track conditions.  But, surface aside, the day was fun and definitely worth the time. The weather was great, the crowd was amazing and there was RACING!!  The less than stellar surface made for some entertaining racing in the consi and features.  It's definitely not what I prefer to watch but for an opening day, in March, I'll take it and be happy.  Lincoln's opener was a garbage track and Port's was not great either, so what.  For me, now that I've moved back to the area from Philly, I'll happily be at Port every week and support them like I have always done.

Now, about everyone's favorite couch and keyboard commando, Strawser.  Well, what can I say, lol.  No one knows more about race tracks and prep from watching on their computer, like Strawswer.  FiXXXer is correct, no one gives a shit what your opinion is Strawser.  But damn we can't help ourselves and keep from replying to your stupid comments.

I guess the largest crowd in the history of the Speedway (78 years of Opening Days Races) must've forgotten to ask what you thought about the track..........

Dear Bstrawser. I would have loved to see dust while wearing a t shirt over the weekend. Instesd i drive for 9 hrs on snow covered icy highways to pick up my daughter after being rearended by a drunk. When i got home i spent 6 hrs in a skid steer moving snow. Wanna trade? Ill take bad race tracks over, even good,  highways any day .

Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

Unbelievable. As poor schmucks like me and Murphy reside in a hard core racing city with no premier race track, this idiot complains that track conditions for opening day at a dirt track weren't perfect.

$17 to see 46 410s and 27 super lates and NO junker classes, sounds like heaven to me.

Dewease 16th to 4th in sprints, Flinner 15th to 6th in lates sounds like there was a decent amount of racing and passing going on.

Record opening race crowd, a track cannot ask for anything better,.

I have never been to either track but what would you posse regulars guess the crowd counts were for the Lincoln and Port Royal openers?

But it was horrible racing.  It is supposed to really heavy and locked down so there is  no passing.  Day time race.  Shouldnt that say it all.

Dude, half way through the LM feature Flinner realized the top in 1 & 2 was the way to go and was just picking cars off left and right.  Oddly enough, no one else went up there, just him, and they all got passed lol.  He was trying it in 3 & 4 till he realized that was a no go and to stay on the bottom there and go high, wide and handsome into 1.  Was fun to watch him.

Nobody said it should be locked down.  The track was horrible from the opening heat till the end.  You can make all the excuses you want.  That was terrible.  Great facility and no one to put a little water on the track.  The track crew doesn't have a clue how to prepare a track.

It really amazes me that despite several people taking the time to explain the difference between fact and opinion, that you still get them mixed up somehow. Do you even realize how stupid you are? Literally, the meaning of each word is something that was learned by most people in like 2nd or 3rd grade.

I was kinda surprised it was rubber down in warmups. Times in warmups really feel off from one group to another. Bluebird sky's and a breeze are not a good recipe for a daytime show. All in all I was satisfied and feel I got my monies worth. I'm ready for some racing under the lights.

Another s**tty track surface today.  Once again taking rubber after warmups.  It looks like it will be another "Slow Palace" year.  Should have went ot Lincoln where the winner came from 7th.
