Bill Simpson an icon in the world of racing safety passed away today at the age of 79 after being hospitalized with a stroke.

I hated how NASCAR attempted to discredit him after spending a lifetime helping improve race car safety after Dale Earnhardt's death....He was such a safety innovator and probably saved thousands of drivers lives over the years with his products. RIP Bill.

A true American success story. Many racers are alive today because of his innovations. Many more did not experinece serious injuries because of his products.

I remember when he put on a Simpson drivers suit, poured fuel over him and lit it to prove its saFETY.

It wasn't just NASCAR that tried to discredit Bill Simpson. There were more than a few very vocal die-hard Earnhardt fans (a lot more than a few) who raised holy-hell againsts this great man whose company made racing as safe as possible for the time. Shame on them!
Lawlessness + liberalism = HELL - NYC, Detroit, Chicago,
Seattle, LA Who the H runs those cities.
