Can Saldana actually pull it off? Lasoski's ride might be up and the air, and Kinser said himself he needs to stay away from the refrigerator this winter. Looks like everyone is in for another long year?

There are other full time WoO drivers not on your poll. Does that mean they are just average, and dont have the talent to win a championship ?

KK will be a force, with all the best stuff. . . he will be up there for the title. TSR will dominate next year. .

I hate to say it - but I agree with that. I don't like TSR teaming up with Schatz. Schatz doesn't need TSR to kick a ton of ass - obviously. I was hoping TSR would field 2 cars with KK and Kaeding driving. But this is just my personal thoughts on the matter - no intention of saying its how everything should be..............

I don't know if Schatz will be benefitted by this move. His parent's pocketbook will be, but the way Tony is, and the way Donny is, there could be some problems with getting the team to click. And Lucas Wolfe has a shot. But not next year.

Second shortfall of a poll besides not being able to edit it, is you're only allowed eight entries... Why, who else has a shot?
I'll be rooting for Kinser next year if he loses some weight this winter.

You're right on!!! I don't think this will work out the way both parties feel it will. Schatz and Kinser- doesn't matter which one is probably an impossible working sutuation. What is Donny gonna do when he needs to share information or the same for Kraig. It's not like these two families are buddies!!! I won't be surprised to see Donny pull out of TSR, especially if he's leading points and Kraig is close to him and communication starts to lag. I would rather Schatz stay in the family racing, less disruptions and all that goes along with being with TSR. Now we get to hear 2 people kissing Tony's a## when they win. It was kinda nice not hearing that much this year. But we can only hope no one kisses the way Lasoski did. I bet he's still got Tony's sh## up his nose!!!

Has it been confirmed what chassis and motors they will be running in 2008? I know Donny loves the J&J / Shaver combo, and Kraig is more of a Maxim chassis guy. Will they both run all the same stuff or will each team run what they want? If Donny stays with the J&J / Shaver combo he will be tough to beat because basically everything will still be the same in terms of crew and equipment.
As for who can challenge Schatz? Steve Kinser, Joey Saldana, & Kraig Kinser would be my top 3.

Schatz has already said he will be in J&J cars with Shaver motors for 08....Tony might keep Kistlers on board for Kraig, and I would have to guess maybe Maxim chassis if Tony is gonna give Kraig a choce in the matter.

If Kraig was smart he should want exactly what Schatz has, and as much of Warner's help as possible.

I think that Joey Saldana will have the best chance of winning a title next year. He's the only one listed with the resources it's going to require to compete with a "super team" like TSR. I think Kraig will do well but it's going to be a new team and with all this money coming and everyone being so equal WoO racing is getting more like nascar. It seems like it's getting where it takes a year or two for a team to come together.
Championship hopes for Dollansky and Lasoski are going to depend on who they end up driving for and how well the teams are funded. Some rumors have Lasoski running his own team and not hitting all the WoO races so I think it's a wait and see deal for both of these guys.
There are many drivers capable of winning WoO races on any given night. Steve Kinser and Jac Haudenschild will always be in that category as long as they're still racing. I don't see Steve ever dominating and winning another title. My prediction is that as each season goes by that he's still racing he's going to fall a few spots in the points. He'll win races along the way, probably some big ones, but based on my own aging experience (just turned 56) the eyesight, reflexes and fire in the belly are a little less each season.
I think Jac will have the best ride he's had in a long time. The R19 is a strong car with increased sponsor support and I think if the team gels the Minnesota owned R19 team will have their best year ever. Championship? I don't know, WoO racing is getting more like nascar where the smaller teams are having to merge to keep up with the resources of the super teams. At some point if the "haves" separate themselves much more from the "have nots" it's going to be impossible for some of these owners to pour enough money into their racing operations to keep up with Stewarts and Kahns. How much further the increased sponsor support takes the R19 won't be known until they hit the track early next year. I have to like a Minnesota owned WoO team and have always been a fan of Jac.
These are just my thoughts and maybe in a year you'll be able to say "told ya so" and I'll be eating some crow. Based on my observations that's the way I see the next WoO season so we'll see what happens.
