With the Outlaws returning to the world famous 1/2 mile I wanted to hear everyone's take on this weekend. Who gets is done on the wing side both nights and who to watch for.

One of my favorite weekends of the year. Usually marks kind of the start of the season to where I can go to the track on a consistent basis. Usually take Friday off to get to the track early and enjoy being back at Eldora. Usually a good group of cars turns out for both nights. Donny Schatz would still be a favorite as he swept the event last year and has won 3 of the past 4 May races at Eldora. I would say Schuhart will have a good chance as well as he won back in 2017 and seems to run well there along with Brad Sweet.

A "sleeper" might be Aaron Reutzel. He had the lead last year until unfortunately he ended up upside down. Couple Dark Horses might be Brent Marks who won back in September & Greg Wilson who gets around on the bottom there.

I like Wilson as your dark horse pick and its always easy to pick Schatz, Sweet or Gravel.... So I'll go with the Madsens, they're always fast at Eldora. I'll take either of them to win one night.

Bell is running so he’ll definitely be a threat.

Definetly agree with everything said here. Reutzel and Wilson definetly sleepers. If Greg can find a way to qualify in the top 3 in a heat and make the dash he'll be a huge threat! I would really like to see either Greg or DG get it done!

Same. But with wingless cars on the program... can't afford ruts with those guys. Be prepared for another ice rink.

I'm going to reach on this one. The favorites are easy to pick, so I'll pass on them, hear goes. When Tim Shaffer is fast he's bad ass fast. And fun to watch, he's a racer! So keep an eye on him. And the two older guys namely Swindell and Haudenschild. Sentimental picks, but both still have some bullets available, just a matter of time as to when they fire off and go like hell, My young guy pick s Sheldon. And My homie to root for is Black Jack #21 Brian Brown! Go Brownie!

Is Brownie going to be there? My son will be excited if he is. Got him a Brian Brown Diecast & a race video in Knoxville last year and loves the 21car. Might have to get a t-shirt for him if he is there.

I may have gotten the cart ahead of the horse on that one. No release available except for the originak schedule of Jackson on Fri and Knoxville on Sat. With Jackson cancelled I thought the temptation to head for a two day show at Eldora would be tough to pass up vs a one night deal at Knoxville. But weather is iffy for Sat at Eldora, less iffy at Knoxville. Looks like a craap shoot either way. Anybody's guess.

49 cars all within 1.1 seconds in time trials. Awesome.

I dont know all of the all stars but did their whole list of regulars show up for this. ?

If so, great scheduling from a WoO or Eldora standpoint. Or wise business decision by Tony, no Ascoc fees, not that he likely pays them anyway but get both series to show up for the price of 1. Good night for Tony, huge  win everywhere.

Am I right saying the difference between 2nd or 3rd in the 6th heat could be the difference between starting on the pole due to a dash win or 18th? That's crazy.

Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

Altough I am not from Ohio, I am pretty sure the All Stars and Attica purposely do not race against Eldora when Tony has the Outlaws on the schedule and it has been that way for years. It is just like the other tracks in Central Pa don't schedule 410's when Williams Grove has their three Saturday WoO races each year. It just makes sense in my opinion....On an another note, did you see Smoke won the GLSS sanctioned race at I-96 last night?

Not all of them, but most and what is likely considered the top guys. Hobaugh, Mcintyre, and Esh weren’t there.

Atomic, Attica, and Fremont all didn’t run sprints and the All-Stars were off. Sharon was able to take advantage running the FAST series  and getting 43 cars (Duncan, Smoke, Saldana, Kemenah, Stambaugh, Jacobs among the good field they had)
