That looks like a well rounded group of people.

Not the NSL from the early 2000s. I believe it’s a Midwest racing series that formed a few years ago.

That group was actually the NST (National Sprint Tour) that lasted 1 year I believe. The NSL is the 410 deal that Quiring started up a few years back and has since stopped with the 410 deal, but the Jackson Nonwing 360 cars are now the NSL Non-Wing Sprints.

After the NSL quit the winged 410 deal and taking a year off, it became a non-wing 360 series that runs at Jackson.

They have 9 races scheduled at Jackson next year.

SOD tire rule and Doty wing angle rule fixes 80% of it.

  • Schatz should be a part of this deal for a bunch of different reasons.
  • Brad Doty.
  • Neil Cowman from Hoosier Tires.
  • Rick Ferkel, also for a bunch of different reasons, not the least of which his son ran 4th in SOD points.

They don't even know how to spell sprint car much less chromoly...http://www.ycmco.com

I would like to see more blue collar working racers be involved.  If seems as if all involved are big money teams that are all on deals.   It would be nice to get a racer on a budget to have input. We all know long time experienced drivers and owners that know how to do a lot with a little.

Yes SOD should be part of the council.  As should all sprint car sanction groups.

That is why it's more important than ever for the weekly racers to get their message to their track owners who are on the committee. The track owners not on the committee need to ask their participating teams and drivers to come up with concerns of their own. Then those owners can comminicate their concerns and those of their drivers and teams to the track owners who are. There's no reason why the blue collar driver can't be heard in this deal. But being heard and seeing results are two different things.

Blazer i hear you and have been outspoken in the past about certain tracks, some close to your heart. I can tell you that certain tracks, series, owners would more or less say why don’t you go buy a racetrack ect, ect, blah, blah.. Funny how you see those exact names on this council. Funny how as soon as anything was brought up your were basically considered an asshole for saying anything. Now in the wake of unfortunate tragic events of the past year you see these same names on the council. I absolutely question a few of them as putting it out there like look we care!! But really do you?? Time will tell, one can only hope!

Not sure I totally follow what you are stating, but like I stated, "being heard and seeing results is two different things".

SOD has a brand new owner, and this guy has a history of failed racing endeavors. This will be an interesting summer in Michigan.
