I say its time to move the world finals to a track That will appreciate the the money. Not knocking the track but the big track is right across the street and never shut down a nascar or nhra down for curfew .

NASCAR races also don’t run until midnight.

This is my first time to the World Finals in Charlotte & it was a snoozefest tonight. I realize the weather may have played a part in it but none of the classes put on much of a show. I really hope tomorrow is much better racing. Most entertaining thing was the flagman. He was putting on a show in the flag stand. Lol

There are a LOT more "neighbors" than you'd suspect in the area around the track. (The FIRM midnight curfew was legislated after we ran until nearly 3am after a rain delay a few years ago.) Oh by the way--it's not a matter of "paying a fine" if the races run late. That's not an option.

What is the penalty for going past curfew?
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

They've never raced a nascar race past midnight at Charlotte.
There are a ton of homes close to the speedway. Concord/Charlotte is really growing. We can't build homes and apartments quick enough.
Last nights races weren't that great, but thats pretty much a result of mother nature. Every year the races get better and better. The track prep crew has really figured out how to put a great show. If they didnt have a hard curfew, they would have had a chance to make it wider and slicker.
Dave Matthews Band went way above the curfew a few years ago. One of the managers of the pavilion told me it cost them a thousand dollars a minute. I still believe it was a joke, but he sounded pretty serious.
The last time Charlotte had an Outlaw day race, it was awesome. Everyone watched the afternoon race, went to Hooters, etc to watch college football, then back to the track for the evening races.

Friday night were all heat races but I do agree that track wasn't the best but it wasn't a track prep thing it was most definitely a weather thing because if you watched yesterday the track was amazing and both Sprint car races were incredible. The first late model race was great, the second wasn't as good but that's because Bloomquist dominanted but there was great racing throughout the field and personally a race can still be good even if one dude dominates as long as there is good racing throughout. The night modified race was awesome, the day one had great racing but all the cautions killed the flo to it. Friday wasn't the best it was a one lane track like Williams Grove but I don't see how anyone can say anything negative about yesterday the racing was remarkable .

4 of the 6 features were excellent. The track crew does an amazing job down there.

At the track there was a sign for 2019 events at Charlotte. The World Finals dates were on that sign.
