Good question, and then who's in the 59 car he's been driving for the Nats.

Just a guess, but his dad drove 83,  could just be a tribute paint scheme in the 59 car

Not to panic.... its still early & there will be 100 entries or so

I don't think Kyle lets internet babblers make his decisions!

It's just a preliminary list. Drivers/teams can still apply after July 16th they just gotta pay $150 instead of $100 entry fee. If you really, truly think any car owner really gives a damn about the trolls on this forum ya need to lay of the drink a bit wink

100 you are joking right.  I'm not sure what the car count was last year, but at 47 right now and the entry fee going up another 50 I don't think your going to see 60 cars unless they have a large numbers of entries that  come in tomorrow

only 9 WoO cars signed up so far (leaves 6 more full-timers to sign up)

12 Knoxville cars signed up so far

I'd say the # will be close to 100, for whatever reason a bunch of car owners and drivers forget they get discounted pit passes for entering early (actually makes entry free and saves them $$ over just pit pass costs).  if you call the track because you can no longer make it (usually the week prior) you get a full refund.

Plus there are always a few 360 guys that have a great 360 Nationals week that rent an engine at the last minute.

Yea, I no what they get every year. I don't think there going to get 80 cars this year. Most teams that are going already have it scheduled. There are very few last minute deals that go to the nats. Every owner, every crew chief has the driver they want. People have new cars,  fresh motors every year.

53 at Eldora tonight....59 at Attica on Tuesday for alot less money....Lots of 410 teams out there this year.  No question they will have 100 plus at Knoxville.

Usually but I remember years that had in then 90's and I believe 89 1 year. Regardless, I'm sure there will be more than enough quality cars to put on a good show for 4 nights. IMO if you consider yourself one of the best, you gotta be there. Where else can you race for that kind of money in a sprint car?

Ya' gotta love these arguements about car counts and people calling each other idiot over something that won't be known until they pull through the gate in August.  100, 107, 95, hell, we're lucky to see any Sprint Car races with over 30 up where I live.  I'll gladly accept a donation of Nationals tickets and paid lodging from anyone who can't handle the thought of only seeing 100 cars.  If I don't get any takers I guess I'll have to settle for the PPV of the final night again.  wink

Yep, why in the world would anybody in their right mind waste an extra $50 (late entry) for a chance at a race that pays $10,000 just to start.

Not going to see (60) cars? I'll take that bet. How much you got to lose?...z

We do this every year... Why is the number so low? Who hasn't signed up? Why wouldn't so and so sign up. It'll be at or near or above 100 about like every year. No one panic. It won't be 60 I can promise you that.

I thought the list looked short also being 4 weeks away, but spent 5 minutes and came up with a list of about 45 names I would consider locks to enter who aren't listed yet.  And another 20 or so names that I would consider maybe's.
