Per Med Stars Facebook Page:

"after 40 Years of dedicated service at husets Speedway, we are fired from Badlands. We'll go in detail soon and let you all know what transpired the last couple of years with mr. Brennan and Badlands. Forgot to mention I was fired by the FedEx guy."

wtf.....

Great crew that is dedicated to our sport and to driver safety.

I saw that many ASCS teams refused to race at Springfield last week due to no ambulance at the track.  Need the fans, drivers and team owners to put the pressure on the track(s) and promotors that don't have adequate safety on site.

I'm sure it's an expense that most tracks will say they can't afford, yet they will spend money on a fireworks show.

Refresh my memory.  Didnt Tony Stewart have something to do wirh formation of Med Star?  I would think they only charge for the nights they are at track.  Whats the deal?  Who knows about Chuccky?

Time for everybody to take a deep breath and review this MedStar 'thing'. I do not think todays action was a spur of the moment decision as this Medstar issue has been simmering or festering for a while. I have nothing but contempt for Mr. Brennan for what he did to sprint car racing. He has fractured the sport from within and it will take years if at all to mend all of the scars he has inflicted BUT MedStar had problems long before Brennan was on the scene. Nobody will question that MedStar is a well trained and well equipped team but something has apparently been wrong inside the operation for some time as Knoxville, Jackson and the NSL refused the MedStar services over the last few years and the city of Sioux Falls and Minnehaha County have repeatedly refused to grant a  license to MedStar. I don't remember the specifics but Mr.Masur either threatened or did sue the city of Sioux Falls because his firm did not get the Sioux Falls ambulance business and it went instead to an out of town company. Maybe Mr. Masur should have guarded some of his words the past few years as he might have said the wrong things to the wrong people who have good memories. Whatever the outcome this is a sad day for all involved but we all will survive and continue.

Couple things to add. First, don't you think Jackson and the NSL deciding against MedStar had anything to do with MedStar going with Brennan? That is the main thing that blows me away about this whole situation. Jay had Chucks back from day 1!! It cost MedStar jobs per say because of how dedicated Jay was to Badlands. Also, I doubt Knoxville would even concider an outside team such as MedStar because their own safety crew is also one of the best in the nation so why hire an outside crew to do something your current crew can do? So, really about 80% of your statement means nothing.

It probably has been sold.  Hence the taking down the page and paying out the Medstar contract.

Yeah, that's it. A smooth transition.

If really was sold, would sure think they wouldn't have the advertisement trying to sell the place on the radio station that was heard just this morning on there.  This entire deal is just comical anymore.  Just wish it would get sold to someone who loves racing and brings Huset's back on Sunday nights and works with all the other area tracks.

Some quick facts. Jay Masur was at the 2015 Knoxvile Nationals providing support right along with Knoxville's very great team. During the 2015 NSL season MedStar was at most of the races. 2016 made that more of a challenge with Badlands running 2 nights a week. One thing we can all agree on even during the split is that the quality of care for driver safety was never part of the bs that went on. Also, MedStar has the contract for much of Rural Minnehaha county. The new ambulance service to Sioux Falls only serves Sioux Falls.

I consider Jay and his crew to be the best in the country at what they do. So this is a pretty shitty situation for everyone involved.

In saying that, Jay knows why he got fired. He can run around to all the local news stations all he wants and say it's not about the money, etc. But when you get paid for the year's services and told not to come back anymore, you know you had this coming.

Any idea how much Medstar charges per night? Maybe Medstar charging more than Chuck wants to pay. There were rumors last year of another track not paying the entire bill from Medstar. I would guess chucks attorney told Jay not to disclose there disagreements.

You are absolutely obsessed with this Brennan guy, everything he does or says you react like it has something to do with you personally. Other than the guys who got "fired" , who gives a shit ? I guess you have to be from the Midwest to truly grasp how evil this Brennan guy, all I know is if you haters would stop bringing his name up and giving him credit for destroying sprintcar racing in the Midwest we would never have to read his name again.

Well, there, hope all you mother fuckers are happy. Badlands has shut down completely until the place is sold primarily because of all the bitching on social media from canning the safety crew. I know, when I walked in there saturday night, I thought it was odd that they were no where to be seen yet. It wasn't until 6:30-6:45 that they showed up. Normally they are there well ahead of starting time and they stay well after the event is concluded. This time it was like they couldn't wait to leave and had to race everyone out of there. I can see the point that this is unacceptable as shit can happen before and after the races, too. Oh but everything the safety crew does is spot on perfect........right. They're good no doubt about that, but that doesn't excuse them from fulfilling obligations........................or does it? Med-Star screwed the pooch this time but Masur had to cry to anyone he could about being fired. I guess the races almost were cancelled because of Med-Star. What would you message board warriors have to say had that happened? Races cancelled because Safety Crew failed to show.

And, for all the retarded idiots that mentioned going after employees that worked there all the way down to people in the concession stands, you are sick fucking idiots that need to be locked up for a long, long time. You are fucked in the head. Yeah, threatening track employees is really going to get you somewhere.

God, I'm glad I don't do facebook, twitter or any of that shit. What a pain in the ass.....................................
