Heard the same thing and came here to see if anyone knew anything...
This thread'll spiral out of control faster than when Maverick flew through Iceman's jetwash.

Johnny, surprised no Point Break joke in there instead of Top Gun...maybe "...faster than Bodhi going under in that sick swell in Australia..." Actually the Top Gun reference works better mehtinks

Glad to see this. Hopefully he has been staying clean and runs well. So much talent that you'd hate to see it go to complete waste. I wish him the best running back in PA.
This isn't intended to spiral this thread out of control but I have a question. Everyone has seen the video from the pits at Williams Grove with Walker, but I've never actually heard what happened on track to provoke all of that. Does anyone have a non-biased opinion of what happened on track that night? I apologize in advance if this brings up any painful memories . Just curious now that I've actually been to PA and seen Williams Grove in person.

If memorg serves me correctly I believe there was an incident on a restart. Car slowed in front on Tdub and to avoid an accident Walker turned and ran over the orange cone. Was relegated to the rear for the ensuing restart.

Yeah...it was a restart with complications. I think he was actually pushing the gimping car (was it Layton in the Chip 7?) thru 1-2 and then it got ugly. Retaliation directed at the flag man and tower resulted in shoving match in the pit spiced with punk ass threats of "meet me out at my truck MFer"...Etc.

"Great to see him back behind the wheel."
"Hopefully he has gotten over his previous issues."
"He has so much talent."
"He deserves another shot."
I feel like those statements have been on repeat for the last 15 years. I do not look forward to him stepping foot into a sprint car. He's used up his mulligans and then some.

That's true, no doubt about it. However I'm happy to see him back racing in PA. Reagardless of his personal issues which i don't really care about, I like watching him race.

I love how people have decided that he has had too many chances, says who? Your opinions about his off track antics and number of missed opportunities sounds like jealousy to me, you guys mad Tom Buch didn't call you to drive his car? Do us all a favor and worry about your own issues and families and when you and yours are living perfect saintly lives you can pass judgement on others.

It was a horrible call. If you've never sat in a sprint car coming for the green on a restart you really have no business making a comment. The adrenaline rushing thru you in that split second is something you cannot explain. The cone was there, he had 1 choice other than wreck 2 cars. Common sense was lost from there on.

The first thing that should be done before he is allowed to race (especially with his history) is a drug test. Only fair to everyone involved (track, other drivers and fans).

well it took 14 posts before someone said test him. let the guy race and let his results speak for themselves. jumping into a unknown ride in one of pa's biggest races. if he makes the a it will be a feat in itself. no matter what he does, comments will be made.

I wish someone would give Holtgraver a chance again. He is a much better driver and from what I can tell person compared to TW.
