Not an overwhelming car count but the track was the best its been in a long time and the racing was fantastic.
The top 3 were: Dobmeier, Kaeding, Lasoski.
Kenndey, Reutzel, Pierce were in the top 10 somewhere.
Curious about what others thought about the show, I will give it a B+

Show was great 3 heat races an awesome A feature I'd give the show a B. Wish weekly racing was back this year. I thought it was a decent crowd.

Crowd was not full house by any means but pretty good. Long wait to get out. I would guess 5500.

I thought it was a great show! Crowd was avtually larger than i expected. It was run pretty efficiently. Even though the front row finished 1/2, it was no indication of how good of a race it actually was. I sat for the whole AMain with a smile on my face. Cushion was at the wall on both ends and they were still leaning in it hard! Unbelievable those guys can bang the wall thst hard and still maintain contril. The announcers there are top shelf! Kudos

One of the better features seen in a while with the constant up front battling of Dobmeier, Kaeding and this Kennedy kid who is the real deal. Track was very racy top to bottom and the cushion against the wall made for some fantastic moves. Lasoski brought the Mark Burch car from 11th to 3rd for mover of the event and the crowd was better than expected and I would guess in the 4000 to 4500 range.

15 LMSS, 19 305's, 27 410's and looked to be between 4-6k in attendence. Racing was fantastic, with the cushion moving up towards the wall all night. By the end it was about 18" from the wall, and as somone mentioned, they were banging it hard in the 410 A. All the classes put on great shows. As an example, the 45 LMSS won from P-last on the heat grid, got DQ'ed from the heat for failing tech, then came from last in the main to 3rd, before spinning on his own with a few to go. In the 410's Dob, TK, Kennedy and Reutzel battled up front. Late race restart saw Dude jump from 5th to 3rd, Kennedy from 3rd to 5th, iirc. Show was run efficiently and we were on the road by 11, even after having spent some time on the infield and on track after the tophy presentation. Great job Badlands, excited for WoO in July.
...and the Huset's Burger with Cheese really hit the spot.
Thanx,
Bruce

So everything was good except for the price of admission.

I believe you are the first one to whine about the price of admission.... Great show....A- grade. Went a lot smoother than the show at Jackson the night before.

Complete results should be on myracepass.
$27.50 is too much for a $100,000 show? Huh? I've paid a lot more for shows paying a lot less....
Anybody know why Wade Nygaard didnt race?

Thought the price was fair. $27.50 for 5+ hours of the best entertainment doesn't seem out of line.

Found it, thanks. I was wondering where a couple of our Eagle Raceway regulars finished. 4th and 5th; not too shabby.

The payout of a show has NOTHING to do with what ticket entry should be.
The names and cars out there amounted to nothing more than a weekly show out there, when they ran weekly.
Sorry, but big money events are SUPPOSED to draw the TOP Drivers in the sport.
WOO, LO, USMTS, MLRA, sorta how it works.
Who cares what it pays.
With that kinda thinkin' a $35 admission would be fair for a $10K to win Enduro. LOL

Like everything CB did/does. Yes, overpriced. Lots of race fans that weren't out there because of the price of admission. They're just not on the boards stating that fact.
Pretty lame to advertise it out to be one of the biggest shows in the country when you sure are missing the biggest names in the sport.
Makes no sense. Sure it makes sense to the sheep who still follow aimlessly though.
If you paid to go to a show that you knew what you were in for ahead of time, so be it. To each their own.
There's just not that many sprint teams in the US to go around. Want to make your Special Event the best it can be, you better figure out how to incorporate or work with the WOO. Like it or not.

I'm not from the general area at all, but if it was one of the few races I could possibly see at that track and it was my "home track" so to speak I think I could manage for the cost. I'm 20 minutes away from Mansfield Speedway which went back to dirt this year and I was more than willing to pay $25 to support my closest track to home for 410s, Nonwing 410s, and super late models each paying 5k to win with about a 16-18K purse (can't recall exactly). I was more than willing to do it again and had showed up for the second week but it had gotten rained out. The third show also did although I couldn't be there. Now, I'll be using my raincheck to go to the All Star Circuit of Champions and BOSS (Local region Nonwing division) race.
So I suppose if I was out in South Dakota/North Dakota area I would probably have paid the price of admission for an unsanctioned show like the Silver Shootout was since I did it for my local track. For a local person it's more about supporting the track to me, if nobody goes when a track reopens, etc (which I know isn't really the case here) the track won't stay open and will go out to pasture. I want tracks near me to stay open no matter what, It's good for the local economy and provides quality entertainment close to home. Mansfield reopening, has a similar schedule to badlands this year even though it's different situations. Special event tracks are moreso feelers to see if they garner enough interest for a buyer or to stay open in future. I hope the best for ya'll over there and hope it was a good show for those of you in attendance.

Son, if you think WOO is the best it can be with the $125,000.00 sanction fee, a bunch of arrogant drivers-owners-officials, handicap system that was outmoded 50 years ago by USAC, overpriced admission and way ovepriced t shirts, long.long delays before the feature and fast cars up front with follow the leader with little or no passing for 30 laps, then you need to get out more.

I drove 4 hours one way to watch the race. I would have paid $50 to see the cars that were there and the race was fantastic! Well worth the price of admission. It sure beats paying $15 to watch box cars at my home track. What are you bitching about? All the drivers that started made $550. You could have drove to knoxville or eldora.
