Maybe it has something to do with him getting lapped and not being competitive at Knoxville and other tracks where he has always run well. Have you noticed the King has hung it up as well. I would say they have to much pride to be back markers getting lapped.

If theres any doubters still out there Sammy can still drive! Maybe now he will get that Kings Royal ride!!!
|
Never doubted he could still drive, and maybe he finally figured out what he needs on setup. Sounds like it anyway. Will be interesting to see if he can keep up his new found momentum. If he stays at the front good for him.

Being a huge Sammy Fan I am so happy for him. If yall notice lately he is getting the car going forword. Yes he can still do it, the pieces of the puzzle have align up right. The Woo is a joke anymore. The All-Stars are the deal. Hey Smoke get Sammy a ride and you will have sell outs all the time. Race fans lets all enjoy watching him race, there is not to much left in the tank, The MAN, is a Legend. CJB better wake up, I am sure Sammy gave them some pointers. Go Mr Swindell, show them what alegends is all about! Sammy #1. Also nice to see Sammy and Amy together. Priceless!

Maybe CJB/Big Game (whoever decides) pays attention......not only has Sammy and team found something lately, but this thread has thrown a very positive light on Sammy and the fact that he still has many devoted followers and fans in general that understand what he has meant and given to this sport. In other words, maybe CJB/Big Game realize what the fans have known for a long time ....Sammy still has value and can still get it done!

they still dont sound too keen on him running the royal they just gave the standard yeah answer when they were asked if he was running..not sure what the issue is here but i really feel like cjb only gave him the eldora ride because sammy's supporters were giving them grief for not running him..hope i am wrong but it's just a gut feeling

Same gut feeling here........ If he would happen to win though they will be all over him in victory lane and then look more stupid they were going to hold him out of that race......I just hope he runs good and does well and I am just glad he is racing cause I have another gut feeling this is his last Kings Royal and that was the point of this thread.

That would be so cool if he won, would shut up his detractors
Just like Fast Freddy winning his first National Open on his last try. Then he could give a "So I'm just a washed up old bum?" speech....

I have noticed that he has been doing lots of testing on that car and has struggled but also know at eldora he could catch a break and start towards the front and be very difficult to beat just like anybody elses that starts up front at eldora or at any other track these days.
most of woo races are won with drivers starting up front
|
Yep, sat night at Knoxville they asked him what's next,he said one more week at Knoxville and then? But he real hasn't been fast, yes he won the other night but a late yellow and heskin running out of fuel on the last lap helped for sure , but the outlaw program makes sure they all start up front,if they are the best in the world start them at the back, or mid pack, God knows they got all the money so do we have to give them all the luck to? Seems locals don't have much chance, most places but some way the posse always gets it done but most of them are outlaw team that just stay home but they are really the best out there for local racing

Thats a fact that cjb wont field a car for him at the royal
its a fact that they said its between cjb and sammy and wont say why
its a fact sammy is on twitter deflecting to cjb to answer why hes not racing
damn man quit getting on my ass cause im a sammy fan
its a fact that the royal is a lottery race with the format the way it is
its a fact whos up front wins these woo races generally with few exceptions
its a fact that anybody in the pits has a chance at winning that race the way its done
if sammy is deflecting to cjb for answers and saying on twitter that he will be at the royal but dont know if hes driving
then its a fact there is a issue
